DII Basics Black Ribbed Placemat Set of 4

I needed to replace some placemats that were part of a set. The whole table setting consisted of eggplant colored ribbed placemat, printed beige silk placemat with beautiful screened printing of foliage (green and eggplant).. as well as linen printed napkins and solid eggplant cloth napkins. In each setting, the two napkins were fanned and held at the end with a braided antique gold napkin ring.

The set was gorgeous and I did not want to throw everything away, just because the ribbed eggplant colored placemats had been damaged during the move.

Peeping Toms CAT Cats Kitten Set/2 Dish Kitchen Towels

While these are only dish towels, they are beautiful! Cat's eyes tend to be badly drawn, but these are very life-like and seem to "follow" you. My mom thought they were too nice and too pretty to be used as towels, so she made hers into wall hangings.

I suprisingly searched a long time in lots of stores for a 'kiss the chef' or 'kiss the cook' apron in black. The adjustable neck is nice, however, the fabric is very scratchy. Not impressed with the fabric at all.

There is nothing better than being able to use both hands in the same oven glove at a time! You simply slip your hand out of one to do something not requiring heat resistant fabric- and it is still there to use again. You can find it by following your hand down the fabric to pop your hand in again- better than reaching over to the countertop to grab another potholder. Your hands are also well covered and the material is very thick- it is just a magic glove.
