I would avoid these mitts. They really don't protect your hands for very long. I have almost dropped several hot dishes before I could get them from the oven to a safe place on the counter because the heat just came through. In fact, the mitts themselves get hot enough that it's painful after you put the hot pot down! While the magnet is somewhat handy, I find myself wishing I hadn't thrown away my old cloth oven mitts.

I had some old flour sack towels (over 25 years old) that were in need of replacing. I purchased these thinking they wouldn't be quite as good but hoping they would be close. These are GREAT they suck the water off of dishes in just one pass! They are wonderfully absorbent, and beautifully colored.

I just love, love these. We no longer have to worry about accidentially burning ourselves with wet cloth hot pads. These are wonderful and do the job.

Calphalon Terry Kitchen Towel, Black Licorice

I'm a very picky person and I've had terrible luck finding a kitchen towel that won't shed.
I listened to the positive reviews and bought 4.
As soon as I took them out of the plastic I noticed that threads were dangling off of the towels.

I put them through the washer (cold water) and dryer (medium heat) and still black fuzzies are falling off. I tried using them to dry off my kitchen counter and it left a black streak.

These towels shed and they suck.

MIU Silicone Potholders, Green (Set of 2)

This is just to reiterate what so many others are saying. Don't think you are buying hunter green potholders. These potholders are a yellowish pea-soup green that wouldn't match anyone's kitchen. I'm really hoping these are a quality product (I just received them today) because the color almost tempted me to return them.

Kitchen Grips Hot Pad 2-Piece Set, Green

I've got a drawer with a dozen hot pads, including three kinds of silicon pads, fabric mitts, terry-style pads, and a pair (now two pair) of kitchen grips. I love the kitchen grips. Unlike the silicon pads, these are soft and supple. Unlike the fabric pads, these absorb no liquids. I've used my first pair for more than a year and they are still in great shape. Now that I've got a second pair, I find I don't use any of the others, except sometimes I use a silicon pad as a trivet.
