It's no secret that the bags for the FoodSaver are expensive. Enter the Wide Mouth Jar Sealer. This is great for items that you want to keep vacuum sealed in between uses. Think "dry goods" such as beans, macaroni, corn starch, brown sugar, etc. For those that are not familiar with exactly what this does I will give a brief expanation. With this jar sealer you can take a standard canning jar, put the desired product inside, slap on a good canning jar lid, and vacuum seal it using the 'canister' button and the vacuum hose that came with your FoodSaver. I bought this item about two months ago and could not be happier with it. It comes fully assembled and is beautifully designed and made. The base is heavy and the shaft is solid. There is no flimsyness here and no problem with the holder turning over. It is easy to tear off one or more paper towels using one hand. The price was also very good. I definitely recommend it to anyone needing a new paper towel holder.

Very functional and easy to put together with some hammering. I would recommend the darker wood finishes. I bought the natural one and the unfinished wood looks cheap so we put in underneath our bar as our "functional winerack" rather than our "pretty winerack." Am considering painting it brown or black.

product is just as described. replacing an old one of the same model, not nearly as good of quality. old one is flexible rubber, new is hard plastic. Thank you rubbermaid for more low quality chinese junk. personally i would pay more for better quality

Oxo Good Grips POP Rectangle 2-1/2-Quart Storage Container

I recently bought over a dozen of these Oxo containers in various sizes, and am so far quite pleased with them. Only two minor negatives:
* one unit arrived cracked (Amazon quickly and painlessly replaced it).
* And the volume of the small units is a bit deceptive. They hold less than you might think from the photographs because the top extends down into the canister more than you might guess. Once I realized this, I simply opted for slightly taller ones.

Several positives:
* they're clear, so you can see what's in them. Obvious enough, but a significant improvement over my older canisters. No need for labels.
* they seal and unseal well and effortlessly with one hand.

Alright, first off, I'm a month into this thing and I'm still liking it enough to use it so there's that said.

Now here's what's WRONG with it:
1. The lid is NOT insulated as one might expect. This means that your top container of food gets colder (or warmer) much, much faster than the rest
2. No clip, clamp, slot or other place to keep your spork should you decide to forgo the canvas case.
3. The clips that hold the lid on feel flimsy, though as stated in other reviews, they have yet to break so I suppose I might be picky here.

What's great about it?
1. The portion sizes are fantastic for me. I'm on a diet that encourages many small meals and these containers are a great size.

This three tiered shelf system arrived promptly, and if you have a shelf that's tall enough and items of different heights, this is a great product. It is now easy for me to find what I'm looking for instead of a mess where I have to move things around. I'm very happy I bought this.

Good construction and excellent odor control (though I agree you should empty it into your compost bin at least once a week, to avoid bad odors when you take off the lid). I took the tip of another user and put used plastic vegetable bags from the grocery store to line the container--which makes it very easy to keep clean.
