I'm not a fan of how enormous wine glasses are in restaurants these days but these glasses seem like a perfect size (although still larger than the glasses we were upgrading!). I like that they have a modern shape and feel high-quality. Although intended for white wine, the inward curve at the lid is subtle enough that I feel comfortable serving red wine in them as well. The major downside is that they are large enough that they don't fit upright on the top rack of a non-adjustable dishwasher. We quickly broke one trying to wash them at a precarious angle and learned our lesson.

Oxo Good Grips Cork Pull

I've owned this cork pull for many years and I'm glad to see it is still available for purchase. The positives are that it is very easy to operate and take up minimal storage space.

The negatives are that it is somewhat fragile. The black plastic gasket between the silver handle and clear plastic has broken. Also, as others have noted, if you screw the cork too far, it can be very difficult to remove. Thus, Oxo provided a window so you can see the progress of the cork into the barrell of the handle. You'll still occassionaly miss.

Despite the shortcomings, I still rate this as a 4-star product and I would buy another to replace mine if it ever suffers a more substantial failure.

World Cuisine 3-Piece Wine Vacuum Pump

The cap sealing the upper end of the pump came off first time used, but was easily reattached and sealed with super glue. Other than that, no problems. Indeed, unit seems much smoother operating than the old, worn-one it replaced.

One out of my four stems has a defect: uneven base which is difficult to detect by mere inspection; but it rocks ever-slightly on the granite counter. How weird. Imagine, a champagne rocker!!

Be sure to inspect the product THOROUGHLY upon arrival. I was alert by the other reviewer, S. Lam who lamented about quality problems for this particular stem. Lo & behold, I caught my champagne rocker on-time for replacement exchange. It's fair to knock off 1 star because of the trouble involved in the process.

Bought this set for a wedding gift, I surely hope the young couple like them as well as I do, with the art-deco design on the glasses which are difficult to see from this picture, but it is a rather unique set for a nice gift. Even I wanted to keep this set, because the quality is superior with Bormioli Rocco which is made/sold mostly in Europe for restaurants/pubs. After hearing that the Bormioli company has closed recently, this news made me wish I could stock up on almost anything made by this brand, my oldest daughter purchased wine glasses made by Bormioli Rocco at Ross Dress For Less & she likes the simplistic design & quality as well.
