I have been happy with the mag. but the only problem I have is that it tends to focus specifically on the latest OS. I understand there are a lot of people who have leopard but some of us still are happy using tiger. I have ordered another year so I would recommend this.

I've been getting this magazine and a couple of others for years now, how disappointing this one is with the lack of stories, informationd something useful. Its all reviews and ads. I finished the magazine in less than 5 min. Once my subscription runs out, won't renew.

Love this magazine. Lots of good, unbiased Windows/Microsoft info. Tons of great content and articles...even some great IT humor!! Definitely worth the subscription. We ordered one for each member of our IT team. Wouldn't order through Amazon though...pain in the [...] trying to gain access to articles on [...]. I'd sign up via their website...you'll get instant access to thousands of articles there. I think they have an offer going on right now for $[...]/year here:

Macformat Monthly Paper Comes With Cd-Rom

I've been a Mac user since 1987 and have read or seen almost every Mac related magazine out there. My former favorite was MacUser Magazine. Unfortunately, it was long ago swallowed up by MacWorld. I used to enjoy the old MacAddict mag, but it has lost some of its bite (yes, it was occasionally childish as well, but that was a big part of its charm for me) since becomming MacLife.
I ran into MacFormat while browsing the computer mags at some book store and bought it on a whim based on some of the included programs on the DVD it came with. A bit pricey at over $15, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did. I have two problems with this magazine. They are sending it to a wrong address and I can't get any service. I want it mailed to my PO Box and not to my business address. Since it is published in England and mailed from the United States no one can find me in the system or take care of this simple matter. It is very expensive and I would expect just a little customer service. I'll suffer.
The second issue is that I'm on a Mac. This magazine should have been titled Computer Music That Is 90% for the PC. Since I use my Mac for all kinds of Photoshop and graphics I just assumed that there would be more programs for the Mac. If you are on a Mac I suggest you factor that into you decision to subscribe or not.
