After a while of making scrapbook pages, you sometimes have a mind block and need new idea. The how-to information is great. Love to look through it for new ideas and tools. I don't copy the entire pages, for instance I noticed that one illustrated page had cut along the pattern of the paper and made a cute border. Someone wanted to know what to do with left over letters that didn't spell a word. They made a cute bottom border with them overlapping each other.

I like the magazine based on previous single-copy issues I have purchased, but I haven't yet started receiving my subscription. Purchase date was 2/18 and today is 3/28, so probably need to give it a little more time.

I was disappointed with this magazine.... It has way too many advertisements in it for the price.
I felt some of the articles and layouts were interesting/appealing, but most of the projects weren't for me.... either too difficult or not to my liking. I am a novice scrapbooker and was hoping that this magazine would cater more to the beginner on how to get started with basic ideas on page layouts, tips and tricks or the trade and so on.
The best issue of Creating Keepsakes I've seen to date is the one on the best scrapbooking tools.... otherwise most of the issues having been disappointing for me anyway.
Memory Makers Magazine promises "a community of ideas and inspiration primarily for scrapbooking", and the magazine does a good job hitting their target. Memory Makers is published nine times a year by F&W Publications, and sells at a reasonable price. The newsstand cover price is $5.95, but a yearly subscription can go as low as $2 - $3 per issue if you search for discounts. The magazine does not undertake anything ambitious, just creative layouts that are doable for your average scrapbooker.
Scrapbooking subjects are tackled by dividing them into three departments: community, ideas, and inspiration. Community includes Journaling Spot, On the Web, Reader Mail, ScrapHappenings, and Great Finds. Ideas cover Calendar, Digital ... Read More:
I enjoy many different Scrapbook magazines but Scrapbooking & Beyond is a cut above the others. Being absolutely packed with superior layouts from cover to cover makes this magazine worthwhile, but there is so much more substance than other magazines for two reasons: the diversity of style in the layouts and the quality writing. Sometimes I feel like I'm looking at the same styles repeatedly in other magazines without much change in the next issue but never with Scrapbooking & Beyond. Layouts with step-by-step instructions and my favorite section of reader submissions keep me going back to each issue over and over again to really absorb all of the great ideas. Then there are sections where the layouts are subject or issue based, these ... Read More:

this one should be it. I see less of the "Oh, look what this person did" and concentrates on the "let me show you how this was done" in easy steps that even amateurs like myself can acomplish. I do recomend you search further and get a susbcription that offers the CD. Its priceless bonuses that will improve your technique and expand your library(it includes free fonts and graphics!!!!) Definetly my favorite Scrapbooking Magazine.
