I have the Dec. Issue (awesome!). I has a cute seal poster and how to make these little polar bears and penguins that taste like peppermint. There is also a mealtime quiz and is really fun. I like it a lot.

Fantastic magazine. But buy it directly from the publisher. The subscription price is exactly what amazon is offering, anyway, and you'll get it a lot faster. We also bought two sets of a year's worth from eBay.

Zoobooks

I have been ordering Zoobooks for several years for my grandson. He loves them. When we go for hikes on our city trails or to the zoo, he is always giving me information that he learned in Zobooks on the animals we see. I am fascinated with all the knowledge he has gained from Zoobooks.

I saw an issue of this magazine at the Louisville Science Museum yesterday when Isaiah, who is six, and I spent a rainy day exploring science and inventions. I don't remember what topic the issue covered, but the magazine's focus on science interested Isaiah so I thought about getting him a subscription for Christmas. Of course, as soon as I came home, I went immediately to Amazon's site to hear what other parents thought about it. I was shocked at the number of one-star reviews and clicked on that link in order to see what the problem was. I got a subscription for my neice's 4th birthday (she started reading early) and she reads it voraciously from cover to cover once its in the mail. She really likes it. Personally, I could do without the games that sends subliminal messages that the princess has to get to the prince to win and would rather they focus more on characters like Belle and Mulan, rather than Cinderella-types. Sorry, but in reality when you wish upon a star, you'll still get beat by people who didn't and instead worked hard to achieve their "wishes."

I am seven years old. My favorite section is "Ask Jimmy and the Bug". The questions that kids send in are very interesting. "Marvin and Friends" is another good part of the magazine. Most of the time it's very funny. I recommend this magazine very much.
