I am an older geek (demographically I am probably very OLD compared to the average WIRED reader) who enjoys staying informed about emerging and fast-evolving technology of every type/sort/ilk. Unlike other hard-tech magazines I read, WIRED is unique in that it places a "human" face on technology, no matter how razor-edged it might be. How many tech and/or hard science magazines even pretend to present the "big picture"? Humans are developing tech at a furious rate, and WIRED helps me ponder tech's implications/impact on society, the environment, finance, etc. Yes, I am interested not only in tech, but in hard and soft sciences, socio-economics, politics and other arenas which impact our world. WIRED satisfies all these interests.

I got this subscription for my husband last year as a gift. He loves it. But this was supposed to be a renewal to the subscription. We are now getting 2 of the same magazine. Can you please change this for me?

Smithsonian Magazine is an excellent source of accurate information regarding numerous subjects. Great educational tool, well written, beautiful photographs, etc. My husband and I enjoy it tremendously, and I give it as gifts.
I got an excellent deal for Discover magazines through the ' daily lightning deals' section. You should check this out, you might catch something for a price you hardly imagined.

Scientific American is a monthly magazine written to anyone comfortable with the scientific lingo on any of a wide range of research subjects. It shows what's going on at the forefront of science breakthroughs and what they could mean in the marketplace when completed. It offers a periscope view of these topics written by the people doing the research, in as clear and communicative a way as can be. Every issue boggles the mind, is actually an understatement.

I ordered this magazine for my son on 6/22/08. He has yet to receive his first issue and now has a new address. I'm having a terrible time trying to correct the shipping address.

My grandson was elated that something came in the mail for him. We read it immediately. He enjoyed the pictures, the jokes an when he comes back from his dad's we will make the little book and do some of the craft projects. I can't imagine any child not liking this publcation. I had former experience with this publication as my ddaughters [now 26&27] loved it when they were young. It was great to see that the magazine is still of high quality an so totally enjoyed by the young.
I've been subscribing to SciAm Mind for about a year now and have been reading it at the bookstore for a couple of years. I'm a layperson, no medical training or professional background in dealing with these topics, I just have a personal interest.
While I enjoy a good bit of the magazine, I typically find myself frustrated at how it seems as though they only have a few people submitting articles. Unfortunately I don't have a copy on hand, but there's one guy (?) with a name that's about a mile long, and by the time I've finished the magazine, I'm sick of seeing his name and reading his often less-than-thrilling diatribes.
I'll likely continue subscribing to SciAm Mind because I do feel like I get something out of it, but Psychology ... Read More:

I've subscribed for many years, and am very disappointed by the recent changes made to this venerable magazine. It's now published only every two weeks, is dumbed down and glossed up, and presents roughly only half the information it provided in its earlier life. Many articles are truncated, and readers urged to go to the website for the rest of the piece while huge graphics take up valuable space.
I am at a loss as to why these changes have been made, and what sort of modern publisher can think these are improvements. Why would faithful subscribers want less information? My theory is that the responsible parties got into a tizzy about how to integrate the magazine with the internet, and fell for some half-baked notions about marketability in this new ... Read More:
