I subscribe to Crochet! Magazine and this Interweave crochet publication is another of my favorite crochet magazines. It has the "quick & simple" project, but also lovely and imaginative patterns--check it out at your local bookstore or go their website: http://www.interweavecrochet.com/ to get info and check out their free pattterns. Many of the patterns are of the vintage patterns modernized vein. I highly recommend this magazine for yourself or as a gift for that special person that loves crochet.
Accompanied by a CD, every issue has practical exercises and templates for expanding your digital photography hobby. Late 2007 issues provided step-by-step templates for creating a 2008 calendar using your images for each month, making your own holiday cards, and each issue tests products subjectively. Expensive? Yep. There's not a lot of advertising in the over-size magazine and the articles educate and inspire instead of pitch a product. If you have a mid-level or higher digital camera and you want to improve your abilities to create images that others will want to see (DP covers landscape, portraits, photoshop enhanced --- from advanced beginner to aspiring pro ability levels) --- this magazine is for you.
I have picked this magazine up at bookstores a couple times, and while I enjoy looking through it, I have never run across a pattern I would like to make. It's fun to see a magazine from the U.K., but for actual knitting patterns, try Knitter's or Vogue Knitting.

i have read this i-D for just 1 year!
but i knew it for many years, cos i live in china, there's few foregin magazine i could bought around my city beijing.
i booked it in a import&export company.
it's really too expensive to me, it cost more than 1,000 yuan RMB.
you could read all new in this mag. new models, new fashion, new photographers etc.
the quanlity of this mag is well, paper and print are the best.
its pics are not just beautiful also can get you into a think-time, and you will won something that you feeling great.
so buy i then get the i-D's mind into your brain.
after few monthes you will find i-d is one of the greatest mag in the world.
I came across this gorgeous, informative mag from the UK a few months ago,and now read it almost exclusively. There are other photo-related mags that are very wonderful, but some of them are for those photographers who can afford the whole Photoshop shebang. And those mags are dedicated to Photoshop techniques and such that I will never be able to get near because of the price. However, this mag, although it references Photoshop, concentrates on other facets of photography that are within grasp of a plebe such as I.
The magazine is beautifully presented. And not a ton of ads in the middle of articles, which I find annoying. My favorite segment is"Judgment," wherein two professional photographers critique, strongly and sometimes bluntly, the photos ... Read More:
I enjoy my subsprciption to Ornament the way I enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, National Geographic Magazine. Having titled this review "A Magazine Like No Other", I find that I am compelled to add, "except National Geographic". Why would I liken these two magazines to each other? Each studies the world around us, and the fascination of it, in new, surprising ways.
This magazine, Ornament, is a magazine of great beauty. However, it is not a stuffy magazine; it takes chances that you, the reader, will be open to accepting that this great beauty can be found in all sorts of new and different places.
This magazine is an exciting and encouraging magazine, which makes you want to think. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
From the title of this magazine, one would expect to see how consumer electronics are being integrated into our everyday lives. I expected Martha Stewart Living cum Stereo Review. But that is not what one gets here. What one gets is a drier version of Stereo Review that covers cell phones, computers, and other wired and wireless technologies along with stereos.
Each issue of the magazine highlights several consumer electronic products. An article includes the latest innovations for a given product and compares the pros and cons of the different features of products in that group. That article is then followed by tip sheets on how to maximize the use of specific, selected name-brand products in that area.
