I did not receive my first issue until August 2, 2008. It was interesting but the pictures are sometimes too small. I did enjoy the articles which were informative.The information on source material was valuable but I hope that the show would have more information on line. I give the magazine a B for a grade.

I'm still a fairly new beader so a mag intended for beginner to intermediate doesn't bother me. The problem I have with many of the other bead and/or jewelry mags is that they are mostly big expensive glossy advertisements containing little useful information regarding projects, information or anything related to what I want in a magazine about beads. This one is different and does not disappoint. It may not be as big and glossy as the others, but it has a variety of projects on practically every other page (jewelry, accessories, home projects and more), has very few ads (the ones they do have are unobtrusive), is fun to read and the instructions are clear, easy to follow and so far, accurate. Lenswork

It is such a beautiful display of fine art photography in the way the images are printed. The articles are fantastic and some are very inspiring with information that you may not have known previously. It makes photography very personal and also very diverse in what you can do with your skills and talent. I highly recommend this magazine to any and all photographers, it's worth the subscription.

I've been buying knitting magazines for a year now and have finally decided that this is my absolute favorite! I like it because it has a very attractive lay out and a great variety of features. It is very down to earth with sections that focus on the readers: pen-pal ads, want ads, reader questions and photos of projects. There is always a really cute Alan Dart pattern of an animal, ornament or other toy. Debbie Bliss is also a regular pattern contributor. They have a good focus on building basic knitting skills with photos to help explain and a stitch library showing 3 new stitches to try. Interesting articles about knitting, past and present. Creating Keepsakes

I was disappointed with this magazine.... It has way too many advertisements in it for the price.

I felt some of the articles and layouts were interesting/appealing, but most of the projects weren't for me.... either too difficult or not to my liking. I am a novice scrapbooker and was hoping that this magazine would cater more to the beginner on how to get started with basic ideas on page layouts, tips and tricks or the trade and so on.

The best issue of Creating Keepsakes I've seen to date is the one on the best scrapbooking tools.... otherwise most of the issues having been disappointing for me anyway.

This magazine is mostly aimed at making clothing/wearables and is slick with lots of great pictures. Not for everyone, but like all Tauton publications it is sophisticated and has those articles many other magazines don't cover. Often the articles will cover how designers construct clothing or how great past designers such as Coco Channel changed design, imagined color, constructed their clothing, etc. There are also many imaginative embellishments and views of great vintage clothing. Perhaps not for everyone but has its place and is a feast for the eyes.

Quick Quilts

I am new to quilting, and am trying to help my church make quilts for charity. Working full time, I thought this might be a great help. Maybe these are quick quilts for those with a lot of experience, but it's not quick for my purposes. It may have also been my mistake by equating "quick" to "easy".

Covers a wide variety of sewing projects and techniques. I subcribed to this magazine for many years, but stopped because sadly I hardly have time to sew anymore and prefer to crochet because I can take it with me. Aimed at the homesewer interested in honing skills or looking for a fun project. This is a helpful publication for beginners but also has aricles and projects to suit more advanced sewers. Also covers latest/useful products. There is a good reason this magazine has been a favorite of sewers for years.
