I read PC Mag, Maximum PC, and a couple of gamer PC mags. As an IT pro, I don't look to this magazine to be an end-all-be-all magazine. It would have to be thousands of pages per month to do that! I use it to keep up to date with various models, some "up and coming" stuff, and to keep my finger on the tech world and where it is going.
It cracks me up how windows lovers get mad at the Mac content, and Mac Lovers are just sure that this is only a windows magazine. Their bias shows. PCMAG frequently has articles about the 2 most popular operating systems, plus plenty of articles about Linux distros, too. If you don't want to hear about what the market is doing, go read Microsoft's website! lol.
I used to subscribe to the Ziff Davis mags, PC World, PC Magazine... but I got really tired of those because they were turning in to an electronics magazine and not a PC mag. I want Magazines that has articles about PC's, their hardware and software, not cell phones and Home Theaters...
This magazine does have an article or two about electronics but they are far and few in between. The articles they do have range from simple newbie articles to advanced reviews on Raid controllers.
I will keep this magazine and have already dumped the Ziff Davis ones.
I like Gamepro. I actually miss how they used the silly faces for the ratings. I guess it was "immature", but "F" that! Seriously!
And now, it's half way filled with advertisements, advertisements and more advertisements. Not very appealing when you want information on your favorite games, and you have to skip through an advertisement every two pages, sometimes every other page!
I know they pay for GamePro to even "Be", but I still don't like the amount.
I like how they do the yearly "Presents to Get for X-Mas", and I've liked the Questions section, as well as the section that fills you in on glitches and such, as well as the section that gives you tips on how to fix things, game-related.

THIS MAGAZINE REVIEWS PC'S, COMPONENTS, SOFTWARE, YOU NAME IT! AND THE REVIEWS ARE SPOT ON...I'VE NEVER BEEN LET DOWN BY A PRODUCT I'VE PURCHASED USING THIS MAGAZINE AS A GUIDE!
Most other Linux magazines out there charge at least $150-$200 per year. Linux Journal is very well priced, and they even have a PDF only version that you can subscribe to.
I still prefer the very up to date and FREE online websites and magazines though.

Text books are great, but outta date.
I get the best information from trade magazines. In my opinion, this has always been the best for the Videomaker. I first subscribed in 1998 when I jumped into the Avid world of NLE. Still relevant each month.
I'm an experienced electronics and embedded systems engineer, and also a hobbyist. I somewhat agree with other reviewers that CC is too shallow for professionals and too hard for novices. However, in every issue I always find useful bits of information and inspirational ideas for my next project at work or home.

This is by far the best magazine I subscribe to. It is the one magazine I look forward to receiving every month. REMIX provides producers and DJ's an inside look into the recording studios of the most successful producers/musicians in the industry. They list the EXACT hardware and software each featured producer/musician is using to make mutiplatinum selling music. To me, this information is priceless. I would recommend this magazine to anybody that makes and/or wants to make music at a professional level!
Just as Robert Carr wrote, this magazine is bland. Unfortunately, I subscribed to Create magazine for 2 years and this company bought it. When I got the first magazine I was extremely disappointed by its content, I contacted them immediately to cancel my subscription and was told that they can "honor" my cancellation but couldn't give me a refund, does that make any sense??
I sent a certified letter to the president with no answer. My last resort was an email stating that I will tell my story if they didn't give me my refund, again, they ignored me. So here I am, letting you know how badly they treat their costumers. Dynamic Graphics is a boring magazine with more pages of ads than information, and no respect for their customers. By the way, with Create we could ... Read More:
