Awesome magazine full of everything you need to know about Playstation and it's next-gen games! Loaded with content and sneak peaks of new accessories and stuff!
I recently ordered a subscription to this magazine and was excited when the first issue arrived (in mid-October). It turned out that the first issue (and one quarter of my annual subscription) they sent was the September Issue and was the "Football Preview" issue. Unfortunately, the football season was 1/3 of the way done! The info in the magazine did not even include moves that were made in July!
I hope subsequent issues are more timely. This hope is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. I definitely would think twice before subscribing again.
There is a regular "Good Old Days" magazine and the "Specials" is a complement to that (although it is a separate subscription). I subscribed to both for my parents who were born in the early 1930s.
These are their favorite magazines and they read them both from cover to cover, sometimes twice, as soon as they arrive. I guess there is a real lack of anything similar and they always have such fond memories that stem from the stories they read.
I really enjoy this magazine, and look forward to it's arrival every month in the mail. It discusses both freshwater, and saltwater fish, and other various creatures. I enjoy all the articles, and pictures. A great magazine for both expert, as well as novice.

Those who truly follow music of any genre know that it basically has two tiers, The top one of the artists everyone knows about and listens to on the radio 5 times a day. Then there is the whole other tier of generally-unknown to completely obscure artists that often deserve more coverage, but fail to get it. URB steps in to correct that misstep, covering the best (and making sure to point out the worst) of Hip-Hop, Electronica, and some Rock that you may have missed in the general hustle-and-bustle of life. Varying from being more focused on Hardcore Underground Rap, to European techno, URB may not always follow standard genre conventions, but with all the new good music you'll be listening to you won't mind the eclectic music shown...you may even ... I love this magazine!!! As if it isn't hard enough to find anyone out there with a good appreciation of independent film (and by appreciation, I also mean knowledge), but then you have to deal with all these film nerds who think that if it wasn't done on a shoestring budget by a no-name director, it must be bad. FILMMAKER does an excellent job of giving an overview of the world of independent film, while still providing good discussions of some more mainstream films. It's tough, when reviewing and writing criticism of any art form, to know what to discuss, and I think that FILMMAKER does this.
I didn't read Giant before it re-launch in 2006 so I can't make a comparison. I can say that I really like the magazine now. Although it is listed as an Urban Men's magazine I don't see it as being exclusively either. I would in no way compare to Maxim as others have done in other reviews. Borrow a copy and check it out yourself but the current subscription fee is well worth the money.

As an aficionado of all things historic, old, and traditional, I subscribed to "The Saturday Evening Post." I was disappointed by what I received. With the exception of the excellent illustrations by Norman Rockwell, the magazine was largely advertisements for prescription medications and puff pieces about popular actors, authors, and other celebrities. This is not a worthy heir to the legacy of its founder, Benjamin Franklin, and the many gifted and talented individuals who have been associated with the magazine throughout its history. Simply put, it was not worth the price of a subscription.
There is no better way to get your monthly humor than by sitting down with a issue of ToyFare in hand. From Doc Ock getting married to Aunt May to Cobra Commander taking over Spider-Man's house the laughs keep coming. They have a section where they show all the new toys coming out and thy always have someone saying something so strange and wild that you just can't help but laugh. They also have the gold of the mag Twised ToyFare Theatre(or TTT for short).TTT is the most hilarous thing in any magazine since the early days of Mad.If you like toys(don't lie I know you do) then get some Toyfare mags and start reading.
