I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it. I was on a magazine shopping binge and saw some of the great reviews along with the high rating, so I gave it a shot.

I already discovered 3 artists that I really dig, that I wouldn't otherwise have ever known about. AND those were just from the cd sampler, I've yet to fully go thru all of the magazine's hundreds of reviews (or so it seems). There are more than plenty of reviews on truly indie artists, from many genres and sub genres. There's so many I really don't know where to begin.

My only complaint is, the font is very small throughout the magazine. I have to hold the magazine close to me in order to read it.

If you decide some magazine is lame, don't you just ignore the renewal notice and they'll stop sending it when your subscription runs out? Not so these guys. No, I get a letter from a "collection agency." A collection agency? You're kidding me. Just cancel the renewal and cut the strong arming. But no, this magazine's loser sales department seems to intend to intimidate young readers into resubscribing through these "threatening" renewal notices. Uncool. That deserves a flunking grade. Oh, and did I mention the 'zine is lame?

Official's Logic Problems

I believe there is an error in the answer for puzzle #43 in the July 2005 puzzle book. The logic given for the Cont. Congress print does not match clue #4. I believe the dates given for the Cont. Congress and for Paul Revere should be reversed. (C.C. should be 1868 and P.R. 1856) Other than that, I am having a ball with the puzzles, and it keeps my gray matter from atrophying!

I have little complaint with the content of the NYRB but beware subscribing to them. They are known for their incompetence in delivery, in failing to acknowledge receipt of payment, and in consistently putting wrong address labels on their issues. BE WARNED.

My purchase of Lowrider Magazine has been attributed to the love of lowriding. Lowrider mag has great articles covering the the lastest gadgets for your lowrider as well as interesting articles on how-to when it comes to customizing your ride. The cars featured in the magazine are vehicles benchmarking the current trends within the culture. My subscription will make sure that my project will become a show-stopper when unvailed. Thanks.....

Fantasy & Science Fiction

As an aspiring science fiction short story writer, I have been avidly reading Fantasy and Science Fiction, Asimov's and Analog. I like these magazines immensely. Fantasy and Science Fiction is simply excellent. I enjoy the writing and recommend it highly for all fantasy and science fiction fans. As I work long hours and want to spend quality time with my family (I have a wife, two young boys, an old dog, a puppy, two frogs, and a big goldfish), I now opt for reading a short story before bedtime (to my sons if it's age appropriate) rather than reading a few chapters of a novel (I do that too, but if it's really good, I'm up really late).

Fantasy and Science Fiction is terrific. Well worth the lolly!

I was very unhappy with the respone i received from Amazon regarding this product. I received an email to renew at a price and the price that amazon charged me was incorrect. When I contacted Amazon they did not fix it and told me to direct all my questions to the publisher. I will not be buying magazines from Amazon ever again!

Gamepro - Us

I like Gamepro. I actually miss how they used the silly faces for the ratings. I guess it was "immature", but "F" that! Seriously!

And now, it's half way filled with advertisements, advertisements and more advertisements. Not very appealing when you want information on your favorite games, and you have to skip through an advertisement every two pages, sometimes every other page!

I know they pay for GamePro to even "Be", but I still don't like the amount.

I like how they do the yearly "Presents to Get for X-Mas", and I've liked the Questions section, as well as the section that fills you in on glitches and such, as well as the section that gives you tips on how to fix things, game-related.

I didn't purchase through amazon so i didn't pay any extra $$ but I have gotten the mag for a year and love the fashion. articles are so-so, but they have some good recipies and beauty product reviews. I also have a problem with the fact that you're not entitled to the extra editions available in spain even if you offer to pay extra.

You can purchase an online subscription for half the price. I love to cut stuff out so it wouldn't work for me though.
