Beautiful presentation, wonderful substance! I first received this as a gift, the Holiday Issue '07. Great gift ideas, including those you can mail-away for (for those of us who live away from home.) Wonderful, delicious recipes (every one I tried was a hit!), tips on decorating and presentation that are absolutely flawless - endless tips from a varying source of experts - I hope I always have a subscription to this magazine! Way better even than a Martha Stewart Publication!

I'm a big fashion magazine fan - having subscribed to magazines like InStyle, Lucky, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue and Elle in the past several years.

People Stylewatch - in addition to Instyle - is one of my favorites. It's a rather thin magazine, but what you get is lots of good, useful content that is similar to InStyle (minus the gobs of advertisements). Stylewatch appeals to the readers of People magazine (which, I admit, I do not read) and fashionistas who enjoy reading up on fashion, trends and celebrities. I have to disagree with the previous reviewer.

Although there are fewer instructional articles than I would like, I feel the magazine provides good information on the make-up industry and is well-balanced between beauty and prosthetic applications. The primary focus appears to be the movie industry, although print and fashion are covered as well. And yes, the make-up conventions and trade shows are heavily advertised.

Unfortunately they seem to have eliminated what I thought was the most interesting aspect of the magazine - where make-up artists from around the country submitted photos of some of their best or most interesting work and how they achieved it.

Elle - French Edition

Just like kecksburg65, I ordered a subscription back in Dec 03 and 3 months later have received nothing but grief. I submitted a customer service request weeks ago, and got no response. When I got them on the phone, they told me they now expect that nothing will be delivered until at least 6 months after the order date.

I don't know if this is just the worst customer service I've ever experienced, or if these guys are just unbelievably bad with units of time. Magazine Express claims they'll get back to you in 5-7 days, well, it's weeks. Amazon's claims delivery in 4-6 weeks.. wrong again.. it's months.

At least this gives me an opportunity to learn about reversing charges.
