Great magazine for teens! It's got a lot of good advise on what make-up to buy. Also, it has great healthy recipes, easy for teens to make. My daughter made a great veggie wrap. It was delicious.
Love that they have Daisy fuentes on the cover and she is 41. Plus there's a new You Can DO It Program that lets you eat a dessert each day. Very cool. There are also superfoods in there that I found to be new.
I am just starting my yoga practice, and as I looked for more details of poses and such online after class, I kept ending up on the YogaJournal.com website. Last time grocery shopping I picked up a copy, couldn't put it down, and ordered a subscription. As a beginner I have found it VERY interesting with articles on how yoga is helping patients mentally and physically with breast cancer, common sense articles on herbs for ailments AND yoga poses to ease an ailment also, many others--I read it literally cover to cover. I found it really helpful to go from class (a bunch of ladies bonding over our struggles to balance or stay in a pose) to how the rest of the (yoga) world perceives/practices/enriches through yoga! I found it perfectly readable for a complete ... Read More:
This magazine is garbage!!! 90% fluff and 10% exercise!!! If you are into lip stick, make up, and facial creme and not exercise then this is the magazine for you. If you are looking for a real exercise magazine then keep shopping. Please read all of the reviews for this magazine under the 1 yr subscription title.

I love Woman's Day Magazine. It's quite similar to Family Circle but you get 17 issues of Woman's Day compared to Family Circle's 15 issues in a year's subscription and Woman's Day is a little cheaper so you get more for your money with Woman's Day.
The magazine is filled with articles, recipes, and tips, all geared towards the interests of women and family. I really enjoy receiving around the holidays because it has so many beautiful pictures, tips and gift-giving ideas. You will find a recipe, tip or article in every issue that you will want to save.
I also like that Woman's Day is not completely consumed with advertisements like a lot are.
This magazine has a nice look but I found it to be lacking in a whole lot of knowledge that I could use. I am not sure what the soul part represents. There is alot of new age ideas and organic articles but to be honest I am a little disappointed with this magazine.
The magazine comes very late every month. For example you can see the August issue on sale everywhere in mid-July. But the August issue comes late August to subscribers. I wonder whether that's the deal of subscription. Very disappointed.
After reading the various reviews I was still uncertain so I bought a copy at the local bookstore to try it out. I am a 51 year old woman who rides my bike around the neighborhood and in parks and aspires to be a commuter. For me it was extremely helpful as far as exercise, nutrition and other such guidance. Much of the technical stuff was over my head, but did contribute to my knowledge base. I have decided it is worth the $20 a year for someone like me.
I've been subscribing to SciAm Mind for about a year now and have been reading it at the bookstore for a couple of years. I'm a layperson, no medical training or professional background in dealing with these topics, I just have a personal interest.
While I enjoy a good bit of the magazine, I typically find myself frustrated at how it seems as though they only have a few people submitting articles. Unfortunately I don't have a copy on hand, but there's one guy (?) with a name that's about a mile long, and by the time I've finished the magazine, I'm sick of seeing his name and reading his often less-than-thrilling diatribes.
I'll likely continue subscribing to SciAm Mind because I do feel like I get something out of it, but Psychology Today ... Read More:
