Fairly good magazine. The articles are short, interesting, and often include sailing stories. SAIL could use more hands on information. Overall evenly balanced between stories of interest, and "how to" articles. SAIL seems to be targeted at the middle class boat owner. You may need to subscribe to a mag more focused on your particular needs or two to three magazines on sailing.

I don't know who the writers are of this publication, however after reading a few issues I am almost positive they are brain damaged manatees. This magazine is only good for the listings, the rest of the magazine is worthless hippie dribble. What did you expect for $20 a year? I will use the rest of my issues as coasters. Save the money and your time.

Delivery has been reasonably good - a couple of missed days here and there.
It appears to do the job it's supposed to do. Some days though it's almost as
if nothing has really happened and they're stretching to fill it.

Articles from well known and well respected equestrians, coverage of major equine sporting events (show jumping, dressage and eventing), advice and articles on horse care and riding skills. I don't agree with all of it but overall well worth the money and time spent reading. Good photography too.

At a time when gas is $4.15 a gallon (where I live, anyway), 70 thousand people are losing jobs per month, and a $700 billion bailout is required from an already bankrupt nation; the last thing we as Americans need to worry about are which celebrities have the saggiest butts, guts, and nuts.
I too recently subscribed to BBC History Magazine through Amazon and had no problems. It's a colorful magazine full of interesting and lively articles and stimulating ideas. Indirectly, I also see BBC History Magazine as a kind of travel magazine. There are lots of historical places I want to check out after reading a few issues. Highly recommended!
My biggest complaint with this magazine is that it doesn't come often enough. While yes, certainly catered to a more scientifically aware, intelligent crowd, SEED by no means approaches the drudgery of a scientific journal. In each issues is even a thick, tear-out "cribsheet" on basic scientific issues or concepts from global warming and photosynthesis to string theory.
One of the defining characteristics of this magazine that make it so enjoyable is the visual content. Just as much as what's embodied in its articles, these full page photo essay spreads from places like Antarctica or the Nobel prize ceremony offer a rare, beautiful glimpse at those who are working for progress and innovation.
