I saw an issue of this magazine at the Louisville Science Museum yesterday when Isaiah, who is six, and I spent a rainy day exploring science and inventions. I don't remember what topic the issue covered, but the magazine's focus on science interested Isaiah so I thought about getting him a subscription for Christmas. Of course, as soon as I came home, I went immediately to Amazon's site to hear what other parents thought about it. I was shocked at the number of one-star reviews and clicked on that link in order to see what the problem was. I now know about the heavy-handed collection tactics and apparently deceptive subscription techniques. I have NO interest in becoming ensnared in anything like that. I also appreciated the info about out ... Read More:

I am a fan of the magazine and think it's one of the best news/current affairs publications out there.
However...
my wife and I received a subscription as a wedding gift. It took a more than 4 months to finally get activated. In that time, no one at the economist would help me ('talk to Amazon'), and no one at Amazon would help me - first, I had to get the friend who bought it for us to talk to them, which was a hassle. Second, they told him that everything was fine and that (guess what?) he'd have to chase it up with the economist.
Finally the subscription did surface and the magazines started arriving... like many people, we'd moved after the wedding. It took me several phone calls, emails, and attempts to ... Read More:
I started getting Runner's World a couple of years back when I was trying to get back into shape. This is a great magazine for the beginner all the way up to the best. Always evolving and learning new things, runner's is always on top of the latest and best ways to improve your running. I am not a marathoner nor a sprinter really. I buy runners for tips on form and also to find new routines to keep my runs fresh and improve my running. Every issue has tips and routines you can use to better yourself or just change up an old routine. If you want to get into exercising and don't know where to start, pick up a copy of Runner's World and get out there and start running.

It took several weeks longer than anticipated to start receiving this subscription. The price was right.
Boys in our student body are the readers of Outdoor Life in the school library.
After casually flipping through Cosmo while waiting in line at the grocery store when I was in college, I finally decided to subscribe, and boy did I regret it. I was hoping to enjoy Cosmo as my monthly guilty pleasure, but what I got was an incredibly banal reading experience. The fashion, hair, and skin tips are not bad, but similar advice can easily be found in a several better magazines.
Cosmo however, became a cultural staple because of the promise of its cover teasers. Yet, for anyone over the age of 14, the articles that these teaser headlines offer are uninformative and generally useless. By the third month of my subscription I realized that if you read one issue of Cosmo, you really don't need to read another one. They are all ... Read More:
My wife bought me this magazine for xmas last year since I am a current men's health subscriber. I had high hopes for the item, but it just was out of my generation. I am 26th, and nearly everything in this magazine appeals to a much older individual. Stick to men's health if you are under 30.
Nylon magazine is, by far, one of the best magazines out right now. Nylon reviews current fashion trends, new music, and art with a keen eye, choosing only the most interesting and of the best quality. They always have interesting interviews, mostly with up and coming actors and musicians, and their covers rarely fall subject to talentless famous faces. The design of the magazine is visually intriguing; every page draws you in with original photography and meticulous details. Nylon's writing is wonderfully ironic and fun, always remaining accessible and never coming off as pretentious like many of its peers.
I have been reading this magazine for over a year now and I absolutely love it. There are always great recipes to share with friends and family also I love the wine pairing section. I do not drink wine but when I have a dinner party and use one of Rachel's recipes I know what wine to include for dinner.
The messes and successes is a fun section its great to know that you are not the only one that messes things up in the kitchen.
One section that I always read is pet friendly. My dog loves the treats and I make enough to share with my friends dogs too!
A section that is very helpful is Everyday menu planner. You can pull it out, take it to the grocery with you and plan a week worth of great meals. The recipes are ... Read More:
I have emailed this seller three times to ask that the subscription to Organic Gardening be sent to a different address with absolutely NO RESPONSE!!!
