I ordered this through Amazon because ordering it through the National Wildlife Federation website was not successful--and I tried twice. The magazine has not yet arrived so I cannot review it. I can review the NWF's website as difficult to negotiate. If it never arrives I'll have an opinion about that too.

Ever hear of comfort food? Well this is a comfort magazine..If you are looking for saavy articles, high fashion and an edgey feel don't buy-obviously!! This is pure comfort-pure relaxation for the homey nester that is into home, gardening, housework and family..I have been reading for over 10 years..Mindless fun-light and airy--a great escape with good homefront recipes, coupon clipping, money saving, child rearing ideas and moderatedly priced fashion ideas..

I've been a subscriber to Parents magazine for years. I feel like if I miss an issue that I'll miss some important information. In addition to the great articles, product information, and pictures of cute kids, you will find disease, health and vaccine updates, product recalls and warnings about products that every parent should be aware of.

On the lighter side, I love the pictures of the kids, "Baby Bloopers", and "It Worked for Me!" monthly sections.

Also nice, in addition to a table of contents, there is an age-by-age guide included, which states what articles relate to each age, birth through 12 years of age.

Highly recommend for all parents.

This was a Mother's Day present for my mom. Her eyesight is failing and She was very happy with the first issue that she just received. She could read it with no problems.

Zoobooks

I have been ordering Zoobooks for several years for my grandson. He loves them. When we go for hikes on our city trails or to the zoo, he is always giving me information that he learned in Zobooks on the animals we see. I am fascinated with all the knowledge he has gained from Zoobooks.

I saw an issue of this magazine at the Louisville Science Museum yesterday when Isaiah, who is six, and I spent a rainy day exploring science and inventions. I don't remember what topic the issue covered, but the magazine's focus on science interested Isaiah so I thought about getting him a subscription for Christmas. Of course, as soon as I came home, I went immediately to Amazon's site to hear what other parents thought about it. I was shocked at the number of one-star reviews and clicked on that link in order to see what the problem was. I now know about the heavy-handed collection tactics and apparently deceptive subscription techniques. I have NO interest in becoming ensnared in anything like that. Ladybug

Several of my youngest nieces live in other states and I only get to see them once or twice a year. It's nice to know that when Ladybug arrives, they have a monthly reminder about their Aunt!

I got a subscription for my neice's 4th birthday (she started reading early) and she reads it voraciously from cover to cover once its in the mail. She really likes it. Personally, I could do without the games that sends subliminal messages that the princess has to get to the prince to win and would rather they focus more on characters like Belle and Mulan, rather than Cinderella-types. Sorry, but in reality when you wish upon a star, you'll still get beat by people who didn't and instead worked hard to achieve their "wishes."

I have subscribed to this magazine before and I believe it should be for girls ages 15-17 because of the real life stuff in it.
