I have been ordering Zoobooks for several years for my grandson. He loves them. When we go for hikes on our city trails or to the zoo, he is always giving me information that he learned in Zobooks on the animals we see. I am fascinated with all the knowledge he has gained from Zoobooks.

Psychology Today is a great magazine. Even my sister, a clinical psychologist, agrees - a woman who isn't too interested in spirituality but quite enjoys provocative views and sharp comments.

Overall, a great product that is scholarly as well as entertaining. This magazine is so far the best subscription on the subject of Archeology I have purchased, and is a wonderful addition to any archeologist's or historian's collection.

Every issue has some good articles, though I wouldn't put them on par with the writing or photography you'll get from the parent magazine.
However, the bulk of this magazine amounts to little more than a sporting goods catalog for the idle rich. I could never afford the majority of trips they outline nor the gear they review.

I received one magazine and thought it was great, but I have not received any others. $30 for one magazine is a bit steep! I see that there is another reviewer that says the magazine never made it to their mailbox either, so I'd think twice before subscribing to this magazine.
I have been a subscriber since their first issue and love this magazine and their website. It's a quarterly magazine, so you'll have enough time to finish a few projects before the next issue arrives.
I can't give it enough justice in this review. Visit their website [...] (or google for Make magazine). It gives a sample of what you'll find in the magazine and links to hundreds of other websites with amazing and fun projects to build. Or download one of their free weekly video podcast that includes a pdf for the project. The projects come straight from the magazine and it shows you how to make them.
Thanks to the magazine I made a small LED flashlight that runs on old batteries, a marshmallow gun made with PVC, and a little robot that ... Read More:

I used to subscribe to this magazine several years ago and really enjoyed it. I picked up an issue recently and I was disappointed. It's turned into a typical mass-market woman's magazine with a few details about natural living added in and pages of ads for "natural" products.

What more can you want out of an archeology magazine that is directed toward both lay readership and experts? It is well written in a clear and concise way. It covers archaeological topcis from around the world in a fair and even-handed way. It also discusses topics that are of keen importance to those who are interested in preserving the past, such as use of unprovenanced artifacts. There is even occasional discussion on what we must do to ensure that future archaeologists are not left in the lurch. I truly enjoyed reading about why, for this reason, we should not disturb early man-made satellites.
The articles are accompanied by great graphs, charts, photographs, time lines, sidebars and other tools that allow the reader to really get the most out of each ... Read More:
I have been a fan of Cricket magazines since I first subscribed to Babybug when my daughter was a baby. She is now 3.5 years-old and I currently subscribe to Ladybug and Click. Ladybug takes off from Babybug in that it has stories and poems that are illustrated in full-color and the text is engaging for young and aspiring readers.
Click is a magazine for preschoolers and beginning readers who are curious about the world we live in - the magazine explores different themes in every issue, for e.g. transportation etc. The explanations are brief so kids will not get bored, and there are plenty of pictures and illustrations to capture young children's imagination. I found that when I took the trouble to sit with my daughter and discuss the concepts being explored in the magazine [asking ... Read More:
