Difficult to beat Chris Tomlin. Great songwriter, great singer. This CD has a lot of hits, if that's what you like. I recommend it to anyone that likes CCM.

Arriving

Time and again in both his solo career and with his time with Passion, Chris Tomlin has shown a knack for good songwriting and inspired vocals. This particular album "Arriving" displays the best of both. This album features three songs that are among the most commonly performed songs in churches today ("Indescribable", "Holy is the Lord", and "How Great is Our God"). In addition to lending his clear, strong tenor voice to these outstanding songs, Chris Tomlin is credited as the writer or co-writer for all of the songs on this album with one exception ("Indescribable").

Amazing Grace: Music Inspired by the Motion Picture

I bought this CD to get the Amazing Grace/My Chains are Gone song by Chris Tomlin. It is different from the version in the movie but it is on the DVD special features. The other old favorite hymns are by various other current singers and they sound so wonderful. I love listening to the whole CD.

Not to Us

Chris Tomlin is a remarkable artist! So pure and honest in his singing and songwriting...a true blessing to us all!
I play guitar in our church's praise and worship band and many of the songs we do are Chris Tomlin songs and they are just so uplifting and bring us so much closer to our Lord in spirit and worship.

I have yet to see him perform live but hope to soon one day! He is one of my favorites along with Jars of Clay and I am so inspired by his music!

This is a definite must-buy for those who don't have Chris Tomlin's early albums. These two early albums contain so many songs that are sung at churches across the nation, and ultimately around the world. They're soulful songs, and ultimately praise-worthy to God.

The Wonderful Cross

This CD is full of songs that are familiar and contemporary but avoids the trap of selecting songs that are "me focused" that glorify God only for what He does for us. The songs are easy to sing along with, and are beautifully performed by the various artists. The different tempos, styles and sounds of the songs in lyric, voice and instruments give this collection a nice variety that will appeal to a broad cross section of preferences. This has become one of my favorite albums, and I'm usually a hymns-only kind of girl!
