Viva La Vida

I will never buy another Coldplay album without hearing it first. This is the best example of a "DBB" (download it before buying it) album. I can understand how a band should evolve and not repeat themselves. From The Beatles to Depeche Mode we have seen bands changing their style album after album but STILL each album is great. Tough I didn't expect another A Rush of Blood album I sure expected great melodies or complex arrangements. None of this is found here. Sure, "VIVA LA VIDA" is one of the greatest songs of this years and one of Coldplay's best, but do we have to go all through an album of dull "songs" just to have one or at the most 2 great songs?? A Rush of Blood to the Head

I was given this album as a gift three years ago and while it was new to me I immediately noticed that the lead vocalist had no idea of how to break away from singing very "clunkily" in syllables...to every song!!!
I haven't read all the reviews to this album (would take days) but wonder if he annoys anyone else as much as he annoys me?

X&Y

I haven't heard this album in years but this was the single biggest let down/insult/disappointment I have ever heard.I was a huge fan of the first two albums and remember when no one had heard of them and I mentioned them (along with Travis) to people who said they liked Radiohead. The new album(Viva La Vida) is passable but this album apart from Fix You is the stalest most derivative uninspired album I've ever heard. If you want to hear the original version of this album check out Kid A. Not only does Coldplay's X&Y rip this album off shamelessly, but they do a horrible job of it.

Brothers & Sisters

Well, here's Coldplay's first release or you. It is quite enjoyable and has much in common with their first album in way of lyrical themes and overall sound. I find it a bit curious that none of these songs found their way onto CP's first record. They would have been better served and more appreciated there, but just as well. These are very good songs at a very fair price. So enjoy!

Viva La Vida (2-track single)

The first time I heard a snippet of this song was in that iPod commercial. I knew it was going to be a huge hit and I had to get the song. I love the lyrics to this song, not your typical run of the mill lyrics. Great perfomance all around. Great job, Coldplay!
