I loved the movie and my basset hound sang along to a few of the tunes in the movie; however she (the basset) did not respond at all to the music from the sound track, and this was a little disappointing, but I liked it a great deal.

The music is wonderful, and it is great for any social gathering. The theme is haunting, and I can't seem to hear enough of it.

The Magnificent Westerns

These CD's are are constant companions that I listen to on my way to work in the morning...Nic Raine and his orchestra do a superb job rendering the themes, but some of the vocals, especially the one for Rawhide, make me yearn for the originals. All in all, it's a great set, definetely worth the money for a 40-50something baby boomer.

I purchased the soundtrack of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, because of my love for the movie. I loved a couple of the songs from the movie, but after receiving the soundtrack, it has become my favorite CD to listen to now.

Heaven's Gate

I was enchanted with the movie and the music. I have the tape and sometimes play while I'm doing other things-- the music is so moving. I always wondered why it was considered a flop?? Maybe sometime it will be revived. It's also the history of our country....

As many other reviewers have stated, this is a great soundtrack, and here we will have to include the dreaded word.....

.... 'but'....

It is very frustrating to watch a movie and enjoy the soundtrack so much that you want to go straight out and purchase it, but you discover that there are important elements missing. While there is a strong 'country' feel, there are also several latin songs in the movie that are not included in the soundtrack. These occur in the restaurant that Bree works in, and they added an important flavour to the mix. For example, a song by the actor Patricio Castillo that was recorded specifically for the film and is not available on any other disc, a song by the legendary Mexican singer Lola Beltran ... Ever Call Ready

Many years ago (22 to be exact) maranatha music released this gem of a project featuring a veritable hall of fame supergroup of musicians whose pedigree lines included the byrds, the eagles, the flying burrito brothers, bob dylan's rolling thunder review, souther-hillman-furay band, stephen stills' manassas etc.It wasn't a country rock project though but rather an affectionate nod to traditional bluegrass, performed with great affection. It was so well done that it made me into a fan. I was so thrilled to find out that Sierra Records had put it on Cd and re-released it. This should be in any country rock or folk buffs collection. Great product however, Chuckii Booker is not mentioned at all here and he is responsible for the single & lead off video "Crypt Jam" as well as doing ALL the instrumentation and production here with John Kassir doing the Crypt Keeper's vocals. Loved all the tracks here as I am a BIG fan of Tales From The Crypt.
