I love this Cd. Beautifully done Faith bravo :*) I love the feel of it... reminds me of my childhood. I really love "a baby changes everything" very original and yet timeless at the same time. Don't know what to get the person who has everything? Buy them some joy! Joy to the world!

THE HITS by Faith Hill was a greatly anticipated release. She has developed into a mulifaceted performer starting her career with pure country where she garned a huge fan base. Her eventual crossover to pop country was seamless and she seemed to keep her fan base and added a multitude of more people as well. Some think that CRY was too far removed from her country roots but country fans are faithful and stayed by Faith's side with loyalty.

Then we get this hits collection. A mere one disc that runs only 58 minutes. On this set we also have two new songs and an emphasis on the pop portion of her career. I saw the movie with my sister when it came out in theaters many years ago. We both went to the ''CD STORE'' and got our own copies! Throughout the years, we have replaced them with new copies because someone "borrowed" it, we gave it to them, it was ''worn out from over playing" ..... or gave as gifts! This album isn't quite as good as Faith's first two. The lyrics to songs are more commonplace at times. The album as a whole is shading toward pop or easy listening. There are more filler songs on this album, a longer album than the first 2. Here are notable songs:

This Kiss - very well sung love tune

You Give Me Love

Love Ain't Like That

Wild Frontier - slow. singer is exploring life with her lover

Secret of Life - good remake of the Gretchen Peters song

Hard Way - an excellent energetic song

It Matters to Me

Faith Hill's second CD is a charm and a reason to be. "Let's Go To Vegas" an upbeat song about going to Vegas to get married or do whatever they want. This song is very catchy and easy to sing to. "It Matters To Me" is about how things matter to a woman no matter what her man thinks. "You Can't Lose Me" is about a woman who sticks by her family and tends to their needs and she will never go away no matter what. "I Can't Do That Anymore" is just the opposite as "You Can't Lose Me". She does everything for her husband and nothing pleases him so she has just about given up. The video is also good. At the end she goes back into his arms and the rest is happily ever after. I think the video is taken down in Texas because of an oil well in the video. None the less it is ... Read More:

Cry

Faith Hill became a country superstar with her 1998 album "Breathe" which sold very well in the US and other countries worldwide. The hits "Breathe" and "The Way You Love Me" made her a star, not to mention her highly publicized married relationship with country singer Tim McGraw. As for the album, it's country perfection. The hit single "Cry" showcases her vocal abilities and is a beautiful song. If I remember correctly Kimberly Caldwell sang it for "American Idol." Great song! Other highlights include the opening "Free" and the peppy "If You're Gonna Fly Away." This album has no filler and remaines Faith's second best album ("Breathe" is probably her best overall). If you like mainstream country then this abum is for you!
