Superb recording quality if you want to sit down and appreciate you HiFi. I still miss Lee Ritenour though - felt like he spiced up the music abit more (still think Larry is great though). |

. Between the Sheetsby: Fourplay August 17, 1993 What else can I say? This is one talented group. The track "Between the Sheets" is absolutely phenomenal w/Chaka Khan as a guest singer. The song is so mellow, sensual, and definitely romantic. The Isley Brothers would highly praise the remake of one of their biggest hits. The rest of the tracks stand out very well, and makes this CD a can't miss opportunity. This is smooth jazz at it's best and quite frankly, i'm glad I took the time to listen. Awesome stuff from Fourplay!!!! |

. Yes, Pleaseby: Fourplay August 22, 2000 Unarguably these are classy musicians. Open the sleeve notes for this album the credits are: Bob James - Piano Nathan East - Bass and Vocals Larry Carlton - Guitar Harvey Mason - Drums I considered giving this 3 stars. Yes there is some lovely guitar playing from Larry Carlton and occasionally Bob James plays some real Piano but this is mostly like Jazz FM when it stopped playing Jazz and became Smooth FM (in the UK). If you liked that you'll love this. I found it to be over-produced and soulless - you have been warned. |

. Heartfeltby: Fourplay July 23, 2002 Wonderful, sultry, smooth jazz CD! The track "Let's Make Love" had exactly the desired effect I was going for during dinner with my teenaged son... face covered with his hands, "MOM! That's just sick!" Ahhh, well, a mother of teens must find creative consequences for those sulky, sullen days, arriving home an hour late without a phone call, etc. This is a welcome addition to a growing collection of smooth, relaxing jazz music to enjoy at the end of my busy days. |
