Gift Of Screws

A follow up to his 2006 album "Under The Skin," which to me far excedes it. He takes on more of his rock roots and a few of the songs sound very much like something that could be on a Fleetwood Mac album. "Great Day" has "Tusk" written all over it. "Love Runs Deeper" has this awesome chorus with that Mac-ish tone. "Did You Miss Me" is just lyrics in motion and is definitely one of my favorites. "Wait For You" is sinister and balls to the wall rockin'. "Treason" takes us back to the acoustic feel of "Skin" with its strumming acoustics and lush Buckingham vocals. I love this album and will say it is the closest to "Cradle' in my heart.

Live at the Bass Performance Hall (W/Dvd)

If you enjoy music - you will LOVE Lindsey Buckingham in this DVD/CD. It seems that it would be impossible to play a guitar the way that Lindsey Buckingham plays throughout this concert. Pretty much just Lindsey Buckingham "blowing you away" by himself on stage, no back-up band or theatrics - just intelligent music performed in an awesome way.

I have always enjoyed certain songs of Fleetwood Mac - BUT THIS IS A UNIQUELY INCREDIBLE music "experience". The "Big Love" performance is probably my all-time favorite musical presentation, Live or recorded by any artist!

It is truly sad if you don't experience Lyndsey's performance on this DVD! Played it on a big screen, with a PS3 blue ray player - BLOWN AWAY!

Law and Order

This album is best described as his early quirky days as a solo artist. I only bought this album for the hit song from 1981 "Trouble". I'm looking forward in buying his latest CD "Gift of Screws". It has a few well written songs. And of course, I listen to Fleetwood Mac too from which he is a member.

Under the Skin

I think I gave this review 3 stars instead of 2 just because I am a big Lindsey fan. I truly enjoy his singing and absolutely love his guitar mastery. I bought this album without hearing all of the songs and I was worried I may not love it, and I was right. Just too slow, and no real feeling in my opinion. They all sound kind of the same. My favorite track is Down on Rodeo, but I prefer the solo accoustical "improv" performance on his Youtube site. Out of the Cradle is one of my favorite CD's in my collection -- this is totally different. Don't know if he has another album in the works -- I'll buy it for sure, as I really respect Lindsey for what he has accomplished and the passion he obviously puts into his work. Rare on Air, Vol. 1

This is a CD of 15 tracks of artists performing live on air to a two track DAT. One track contains overdubs, the rest features the musicians huddled around a couple of microphones, almost all of this music is acoustic.

The broadcasting station is KCRW, independent public radio for most of Southern California. The show is called: "Morning Becomes Electric", a very proper title. This is great radio, and it transfers to CD as an alternative to just about every other form of art, that you have been forced to undergo...this is a different experience for the ears...this is a pleasure.

Vacation

I just wanted to point out that Lindsey Buckingham's songs Holiday Road and Dancin' Cross the USA are actually on the tenth anniversary special release (1999) for the third movie in the Griswolds saga National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Soundtrack. There were only 20 000 copies of that CD made but you can still track them down through any good rare and second hand cd vendor and there's even some on e-bay but I'd look carefully at the product information/seller feed back as unfortunately there's also some burnt copies up there.

Have no idea if the seller on this page is selling a pirated copy but my question is if someone knows for sure why don't they just report it to Amazon or appropriate government department that deals with fraud in your country. I know for a ... Read More:

The String Quartet Tribute to Fleetwood Mac
