This is a wonderful collection of Natalie Cole. It includes some new and some old, including some songs mixed like she did "Unforgettable" with her father's voice.
One of her best!

Natalie's first Christmas album and probably her best--excellent! Great song selections, both new and old. What a classy lady. Be sure to check the companion PBS special "Holly and Ivy"-it's not available on DVD but you can still find it on VHS. You won't be disappointed!

Each Christmas season there is a glut of single-artist and multi-artist compilations vying for your attention (and dollars), but if you see this one, which first entered the scene in 1999, and you are thinking about adding to your Christmas music library, my advice would be to grab a copy.
In addition to beautiful renditions of traditional and familiar classic carols like Hark The Herald Angels Sing, O Tannenbaum, and Carol Of The Bells, Natalie and The London Symphony Orchestra outdo themselves on Mel Torme's The Christmas Song, Sammy Cahn & Julie Styne's Christmas Waltz, and Leroy Anderson's immortal Sleigh Ride. Natalie Cole's follow-up to her hugely successful UNFORGETTABLE tribute to her dad, hits all the right notes. She returns to the "Unforgettable" era and picks an eclectic mix of songs -- most are jazz tinged, but there's some Caribeean flavor and some traditional R&B as well as classic pop sound mixed in for good measure. Natalie, by this point, had matured into a performer who was capable of working her way around a wide swath of material and she does herself proud with this collection.
She swings when she needs to, she mellows it out when necessary and she goes full throttle when the song calls for it.
I buy everything Natalie Cole puts out and she seldom disappoints. Enjoy this one! It's a winner!

Wonderful songs and you can't go wrong with Natalie Cole. I am very pleased with this CD. If you are a Natalie fan, I would highly recommend this one.

"My journey through life has rarely been a boring one and I must say I have always had a rather interesting appetite when it comes to both life and the music it inspires. A few things I have learned along the way: When life gives you candy, savor every moment . . . When life gives you lemons, you'd better learn how to make lemonade! I have put together a selection of songs that reflect a particular part of me - the part that has loved and lost and kept on loving in spite of it. It is that part that is learning to turn the lemons into champagne and caviar." ~ Natalie Cole ~
I've been a Natalie Cole fan as far back as I can remember and have collected most of her remarkable works of art that really impressed me, "Stardust," "Unforgettable With Love," "Take A Look," "Holly & ... Read More:
