No matter who the music group is, once they've had a break for so long, there is always going to be questions as to whether or not their comeback is going to be good or not. Add to that the fact that this is a boy band, then there is more pressure to do well and a lot of negative talk about them. Let me say, that this album is terrific and of course they are going to sound different because they (as we all have) have matured, bringing about a more mature sound and a different sound. Apart from the fact that they've all 'aged' well, they sound as good as ever and their new feel is great.
Definately get this Deluxe edition because it has bonus songs (so why wouldn't you) and they are all good. Admittedly, it took a couple of listens ... Read More:

Merry,Merry Christmas

This is a fun Christmas album all the way through BUT it is the magical power of 1 song that makes this album Unforgetable! "I'll Be Missin' You Come Christmas" is the BEST Christmas song ever recorded. Musically beautiful, full of Christmas spirit, and sung to perfection by Jordan Knight. This is an eternal Christmas classic that never grows old and always feels good.

This compilation of past top 10 hits truly brings back awesome memories of the 1986-1994 NKOTB era! These songs make me remember being 16 all over again. It's definately a MUST HAVE for any previous NEW KIDS fan & for any new fans, hey, I'd say it's a MUST HAVE TOO! If I'm not listening to "The Block" (their new reunion CD) then I'm listening to this one! I give New Kids On The Block ***** stars for this CD! You guys are #1!!!!

Oh I remember when this first came out.... I bought Step By Step as a cassette tape. Now I am updating it to CD and I can still remember all the words to every song. This CD shows serious talent from NKOTB. It is an essential piece of your collection if you are a fan!

I loved the New Kids back in the day, but I would love this album regardless of who it is! I love almost every song, but especially Grown Man, Twisted and Full Service. This cd will make you want to get up and dance. I haven't stopped playing it since I bought it weeks ago!

Face the Music

So, if you haven't heard, NKOTB are back and have a new album, "The Block", coming out on September 2nd. I'm going to see them on Tour. Surprisingly, my love for them is back and apparently never died. I really regret that I didn't buy this CD 14 years ago. I was too embarrassed because they weren't "cool" anymore.
By FAR their best work. The whole album is good. Yes, it has a 90's vibe to it but that's when it came out. As I listened I kept thinking...these could easily be Boyz II Men songs. The Boyz were huge in the mid nineties so that says a lot. Vocally, it's their strongest and style wise, their most mature. I must admit i was once young and the music of this group was played in my car especially on those special occasions..this collection represents an astonishing display of collective talent.Iam so happy to have this 2cd in my collection and the sound quality is amazing.Iam all grown up but iam still young at heart and there is no better antidote for my mid life crisis.

Back nearly what 17 years ago my young daughter from the age 5 up through Elementry School age was such a fan of the New Kids and owned all the products out from pillows, barbies, dolls and sleepingbag of this band , dont get me started on all the posters everwhere. She had the music on for all to hear and their music was not just for the kids, the adults as myself and the other parents really deep down enjoyed too. Now that they are comming back as Men I should say, I sure would love to take in that concert with my daughter. When she grew up she saw Joey McEntire and I believe Jordan Knight in concert. ,The new cd is due out on my birthday September 2, 2008. I will be waiting like most everyone from over the years.
