Dark Horse

This is a phenomenal album. A lot of people complain about the dirty lyrics on some of their songs but I personally like those lyrics. And to the people that do complain about that listen to the songs that are slow and not about sex and drugs. Those are all going to be hits. This album is anything but a disappointment!

All the Right Reasons

This is as generic and bland as rock music can get. This CD is immensely boring. This album basically embodies all the stereotypical radio rock elements you can image.

If you want the monotonous truck-commercial sounding riffs and awful wannabe-Pearl Jam sounding vocals, you have it all in this album.

There's honestly A LOT a band can do with 2 guitars, bass and drums. What drives a band to produce a CD of music which seriously sounds like it was made specifically for the radio? Probably money. Don't buy this album if you're a music fan. Leave this one for the casual radio listeners.

The Long Road

Having heard the two most popular albums by Nickelback, SILVER SIDE UP and ALL THE RIGHT REASONS, I decided to buy this one as well because I knew a few of the songs on it and remembered that I didn't have this one yet. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it, but after listening to it a few times I decided this is their best album of the three that I've heard. It's the closest to perfect I've ever heard on a post-grunge album.

I thought SILVER SIDE UP was too heavy on the guitars and all of the songs sounded too similar, and I thought ALL THE RIGHT REASONS was a better album but sounded too forced for the mainstream. Silver Side Up

This CD makes NICKELBACK famous - worldwide. And i can only agree with other customers. It's still the best! The Real Thing - because of tracks like "HOW YOU REMIND ME" and my all-time favourite "TOO BAD". It hits you like a hammer! That are burners! Because of that 4* - The rest is trash!

All other albums haven't got a soul - every single repeats itself. In a very few moments Chad can get a hit (for example only in corporation WITH SANTANA "INTO THE NIGHT" 2007). But that's it! I LIKE NICKELBACK VERY MUCH, but every artist had TOP CLASS times - now (in 2008) it's going down... Mainstream - making money as much as you can...

The State

I can't listen to mainstream rock anymore and these guys are to blame. Everything sounds the same - I don't know if these guys are trying to sound like everyone else, or if everyone else is trying to sound like them. Either way, it just makes me want to throw my radio out the window and learn to play music myself. Anyone with any musical aptitude can write and perform better than this drivel.

Curb

I'm not a Nickelback fan; I'm one of those people who thinks they've been releasing roughly the same three songs over and over again for the past few years, and don't really have a high opinion of them. That said; by circumstance I ended up with this album, and as I started listening to it my first thought was: This is Nickelback? With relatively unique grunge-style material? While not the best by any means, it's still pretty decent and worth a listen.

Can you pour more sugar over top of this song? Sorry... A long fall from the old days. I can't be too excited about any album that Mutt Lange is producing. Makes we want to play Pour Some Sugar on Me or some other cheesy 80's pop/rock song. Heck, I might even break out a Shania Twain album!
