A lot of hubub over this album.

Bodysnatchers is absolutely rockin', Jigsaw Falling Into Place is great, and the rest of the album seems to be music I can fall asleep too. Radiohead goes way too close to being Coldplay snoozer music with a few progressive sounds and occasional addition of drums. The Bends and OK Computer continue to be the best albums, but this one ain't bad...it just ain't that exciting either.

Easiest review I'll ever do in my life. Simply put: BUY THIS!
Why? Radiohead are an amazing group of talented song writers and musicians as a whole. Collectively "Ok Computer" pulls traces of their past soft alternative works together, and accompanies them with new progressive territory.

The tracks are masterful, deep, and distinctly unique. As a whole the production quality is outstanding, the song variety is awesome (remains on the lighter side of the spectrum). This is all before their large leap into a minimalist electronic style as featured on their next album
"Kid A".

While many cite the second half as the downfall of the album, one could highly disagree. Example "Electioneering" has such a clinking ... Read More:

Kid A

This is the best album cover ever in rock and roll history as far as I'm concerned, the music inside is just gravy. Nothing could top OK Computer, so Radiohead didn't even try - they very wisely went in a completely different direction into almost another genre altogether. OK Computer is basically a straight up rock record but Kid A is pretty much electronic music. The first song, "Everything in it's Right Place" is one of the best in Radiohead's live set - it sounds much better live is what I'm trying to say - but the studio version is still very captivating, especially with good speakers. "How To Disappear Completely" almost matches the intensity of "Exit Music" from the previous record. I think the peak of the record is "In Limbo", maybe ... Read More:

Hail to the Thief

Hail to the Thief is in my opinion one of the best Radiohead cd's period. Most when thinking about Radiohead immediately think about Kid A, completely disregarding Hail. But! That's a mistake. Hail.. has the brilliant songs: Myxomatosis, Backdrifts and The Gloaming. If you don't already own it, get it now. And if you can, see them live. It will give you an even greater appreciation

The Bends

One great song after another. This was the first album I heard for radiohead, so I went and bought all the other albums expecting them to be the same style as this one, I was disappointed.
All the other albums were a bit weird and no where near this one.
So I advise you if your new to this band make this album be the first.

Amnesiac

While Radiohead's 2000 album Kid A was already a shocking experience, nothing could have possible prepared fans for what would proceed the album in only a year, the vastly obscure Amnesiac. Written as a parallels to one another, the two albums fit together like pieces of an obscure and disturbing, yet ultimately ingenious puzzle. Kid A had it's fair share of uplifting moments throughout the paranoia and gloom, but Amnesiac pulled no punches, and searched for an answer in the same vein as Kid A. Both albums share some specific themes, as evidenced by the two separate versions of the song Morning Bell, but both have very different personalities. It seems as if both started in the first place, a single point of birth, and spiraled off spontaneously in opposite directions. ... Read More:

The Best of (Special Edition 2CD)

I am frequently a late comer to what is hip and cool. I had listened to Radiohead early on (Kid A, the Bends, Pablo Honey) but just didn't get it. In a twisted way I returned to Radiohead after my new found appreciation of groups like Coldplay, Muse, Keane, and the like. This Best of CD may not be all their best music but it is extensive and awesome. I couldn't stop listening to disc one with many of the familiar tunes but eventually found may way into disc two which is just as excellent in its own right. Songs like Let Down and Planet Telex really hold their own, even if they may not be their better known material.

Listening to Radiohead is a unique experience, and the critics were right about this group early on. I remember hearing an interview with Tony Banks ... Read More:

Pablo Honey

Another title to this review could've been 'Whoa! Whoa... Really not good. -at all'.

Let me first state that Radiohead is one of my favorite bands. I would give The Bends and OK Computer both five stars and the rest after them between three and four stars but this album is not really the Radiohead that I, and most everybody else, have come to know and love.

Another reviewer said it best in his title to his review, "Doesn't really foreshadow the future greatness of the band". And yet another reviewer said that "this could be anybody". I couldn't agree more with both of those reviewer's statements. Aside from track two (Creep) this album is nothing special and in my opinion is only worth having to complete a Radiohead collection.
