Try! John Mayer Trio Live in Concert

This should be called "Promise Kept"! At times it evokes BBK, the ABB, SRV, Bonnie Raitt, Johnny Lang, and more. But it's all John Mayer. I downloaded this last night and then bought the CD this morning. This grabbed me from the first song, and gave me shivers. First new CD to get me excited in a long time. If you like good blues rock guitar, don't hesitate. If you like his pop songs, I can't help you. If you ever wondered why EC invited John Mayer to the Crossroads Guitar Festival, this should put that to rest. In case you could not tell, I really liked this. This one is destined to get worn out in all my players. Nice....

Local Hero (1983 Film)

Great movie.
However, if you liked the music as it was played by the little band featured in the movie, you will not find that music on this CD.

And that is what a soundtrack should be.
All of the music, esp. if it's good, from the movie on a CD.

This soundtrack is more a Mark Knopfler CD and not the complete soundtrack from the movie "Local Hero".

A good example of a great soundtrack CD is the Tom Petty music from the movie "She's the One".
That CD has all of the music from that movie without exception.

The other reviewers here talking about the great "scottish folk music" on this CD are just wrong.

Even tho this cd is a compilation of songs from other cd's it is wonderful.This young man's voice is unbelievable. It is definitely a great addition to your library.I also purchased the video and you can laugh, cry, shout and clap when you watch it.

Had not knew that this CD existed until messing around on Amazon. Can't believe that this has been around for almost 10 years and my ears had not had the pleasure. This is a rockin' CD. A fine power trio. Jason Bonham is bangin'on the drums, Little Steven letting loose on the guitars and Adam Clayton from U2 on bass I'm sure was thrilled to Rock like this. I highly recommend this CD especially for the price you can get it on Amazon. Do yourself a favor especially if you like good old rock n" roll the way it should be played. Thank you Little Steven.

The Legend Of Prince Valiant (The Animated Series)

I love this cartoon series and had been toying with buying the CD for awhile now. I'm glad I finally caved and bought it because it made me appreciate the show's music even more. "Where the Truth Lies" is longer than what we've all heard on the cartoon, and "Love Called Out My Name" puts beautiful words to a love theme that is frequently played in the series. Some of the titles suprised me, particularly "Sir Bryant" and "Valiant and Rolf," because I don't necessarily associate that music piece with those characters. And a couple of the more distinctive music selections were missing that I wish had been included. But that's just me being an obsessive fan - the music that is here is excellent and varies in tone from triumphant to jubilant to suspenseful. ... Read More:

Steve Jordan has an astounding sense of time, a very sophistocated sense of harmony and complete command over his music. I saw him play in North Carolina once. I had never even heard of him and my knowledge of Tex-Mex was nil. He and his band absolutely bowled me over. The man is a giant. This album can't duplicate the live experience, but then I can't play it that loud at home.

I guarantee that you have nothing like this in your collection.
