But HiDef is another thing. Its 1080i only and seems to be a DVD transfer.

I have several of her previous cds but believe this is the best. She brings us incredible energy, a great voice, and a band that is superb. To borrow from the review on Allmusic Guide: "this is the record we've been waiting for from Downs; it succeeds on all fronts and deepens her canon immeasurably."

THIS CD IS PRETTY MUCH AWFUL. I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE AMBIENT OR TECHNO EVEN HOUSE BUT NO IT'S SOUNDS LIKE SPANISH MUSIC. VERY DISAPPOINTING WHEN YOU THINK YOU ARE BUYING DANCE MUSIC.

El CANGRI!!!!!!!!!! The King is back, and with his best album to date. Every track on this album is on fire. The best beats, smooth lyrics, setting the bar way above the standard genre. If you you are looking for an album that brings the roots back to diversity, than anything less 5 stars , Tu Ta Loco! WepA!! Que Bailen Mi Gente***

Got excited each time Sergio Mendes releases an album as I have been a fan since his Brasil'66 days. Uptempo, jazzy, bouncy, catchy, pulsating
and many more descriptions could not describe his works. The uber excellent "Brasilero" is still his benchwork in tune with today's upbeat music. "Timeless" with old and new collaboration is also a great classic. Then,we expected more. And now "Encanto" only fulfilled 50 percent of my expectations. The first six tracks got me going, then, it slowed down after to typically Brazilian jazz/samba mood. Wow, what happened. The best and outstanding track is "Lugar Comum" with Jovanatti rapping in Italian and I could not stop tapping my feet.
What a fresh feel. Overall an enjoyable album.

I absolutely loved Limon y Sal, and so I was surprisingly dissapointed with this album. I think the main reason is that it sounds like the music engineer messed up the vocal recording. The vocals aren't nearly as clear and expressive as in Limon y Sal. Also, the acoustic arrangements didn't do much for me, which is surprising because I've loved just about every other MTV Unplugged album that I've ever had. On the other hand, I did enjoy getting to hear a selection of Julieta's older songs, and I like "El Presente", so overall it is a nice album to have.
A mi me encantaba "Limon y Sal", y por eso me sorprendi que no me gustaba mucho este album. Me parece que el ingeniero de musica hizo un error al la voz de Julieta para este album. Su voz no esta tan clara ... Read More:
