The KLF had a brief career yet extremely high-impact on the dance music scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s. With their innovative use of stadium crowd sound effects, their music could very well be a form of "stadium house". Their 1991 album "The White Room" is the soundtrack to a film of the same name, a film I have yet to see. Yet despite all that, "The White Room" is simply among the most magnificent, spectacular and innovative albums of the early 1990s, or ever for that matter. For some reason, this band always ranted about something called the Justified Ancients of Mu Mu which eludes me as of writing this review.
Note: This review is on the nine-track American version of this album.

The Prodigy were a great singles band and the proof is in this compilation which contains basically everything a casual fan would want. I have to take a star off though for a couple of reasons. First, the non-inclusion of "Fire" and "Baby's Got A Temper" is a shame and secondly, the version of "Poison" on here must be a single mix or something because it's not the version I remembered from Music For The Jilted Generation (the intro isn't as good).
Overall a good compilation and a good substitute for their albums, which can be a bit tiring at times if you're not a fan of the genre generally.

Beneath the familiar red and black dragon head logo on this rare CD is an "excellent" set of 10 techno tracks dedicated to the stars of the world-renowned video game, Mortal Kombat. The music sounds very much like the electronic soundtracks used in racing games like Ridge Racer and Wipeout in the late 1990's, but it's overlaid with rapping, singing, chanting, and narration to create an adrenalin-charged cacophony of awesomeness sure to make you want to either get up and dance, or put on your ninja outfit and beat up a four-armed giant!

This is one of the best greatest hits collection you can get from any artist. You do not only get the best songs in a greatest hits collection, but the extended versions of them, also you get a bonus DVD with almost all of their videography, plus live performances of all of their hits. 2 Unlimited was the biggest artists of the Techno/Rave scene from 1991-1995, topping the music charts on many countries around the globe for several weeks; a goal that very few Techno/Rave artists have achieved. Their #1 singles are: Twilight Zone, No Limit, Tribal Dance & The Real Thing.
Sadly this collection does not include all of their videos; and is missing the most important one "Twilight Zone" that put them for the very first time on the top of the charts. ... Read More:

I first heard this cd when I was dancing in a strip club in L.A. Traci Lords is yes the porn star who made headlines with her underagescandal in the 80's. According to her biography, this cd did very well when it came out in the early 90's. It has a number of really great songs including Fallen Angel and Control, which were the singles released of the album. Traci Lords is just sexy anyways you want to spin it and this cd is no joke. A lot of the songs were produced by Juno Reactor, who also had a lot of big hits in the early rave years. I thought maybe this cd would be a little cheesy, but it wasn't whatsoever and there are even a few nice downtempo tracks as well as the harder techno versions. Her voice and lyrics are very sexy and strong. It's a shame she hasn't ... Read More:

Experience was the very first album I ever owned, a gift for my 13th birthday & I owe a large chunk of my eccentricity to The Prodigy and mostly to this album. This to me is the cream of the crop when it comes to drum & bass- an abyss of breakbeats, melodies, hi hats, wild snares, kicks, bass in a tornado whirlwind creating this masterpiece they call "Experience". And now they've re-released it and added a few new songs and songs that were on a few of thier singles. The 'Ruff in the Jungle' and Out Of Space remixes are sick as hell, but theres nothing like the original versions.
Takes me back to the days of Jncos, Requests, breakin outside the arcade, and just the overall eccentric side of the 90's.
I don't care if like this type of music or not, ... Read More:

I got this CD when it first came out back around '91 and loved almost every single song! There is no tecno I have found in recent years that even comes close to how cool these songs are! The only bad things are that this CD is out of print and that the group never released any other albums. It was one of those CDs I could never get tired of, and I have missed it ever since I let a friend borrow it and then lost track of that friend. These songs hold great memories for me. This is what tecno music should be. If you love old school forgotten classics like I do, I suggest you do whatever you have to do to get this album for yourself.
