Love the album overall, but not the way all of the songs sounded. The cast of the movie was wonderful, and I love Pierce Brosnan, but I'm guessing he was not cast for his singing ability. Buy it anyway. It's worth it!

I have to start off by saying this is the first Coldplay CD I have ever bought. I am familiar with their past hits, but their patented brand of Travis-influenced sleepy-time piano balladry never quite did it for me. That's why I was surprised to hear "Violet Hill" and "Viva La Vida" which, in my opinion, sound totally different than anything I have heard them do before. Two great songs, but yet an uneven album which yields a couple more good songs, but that's pretty much it. You get the sense that the band is trying to prove that they can do something different on this record, and it succeeds partly because how great "Volet Hill" and "Viva La Vida" are, but they are definitely the two best songs on the album. This has to be my favorite album from them! All of the songs are great and I listen to them everyday. Most of their songs are a little slower that they usually are, so that did take one or two listens to get used to. But, ALL of the songs on this CD are great!!

BB' Good: has a nice beat and really wants to make you get up and move. The lyrics are great also.

Burnin Up: Is just the best!! I love that song!!! I have the music video on my ipod. One of my favorite songs off of this CD!!! I have this song in my head all of the time.

Shelf: Is also another great song. Talking about girls who don't really pay attention to a guys feelings. Nice, sweet song.

One Man Show: Steals the show!! Very nice beat!! ... Read More:

Never being a Kid Rock fan and never really listening to his music unless it was on the radio - this is a great CD. I love almost every song. Song #5 and #6 are alittle vulger and I kind of skip by those but other then that I would highly recommend this CD you'll love it!!

Don't have a lot to add to what others have said, just that I didn't mean to buy this but I listened to a few seconds of the first 5 cuts in a record store and it came home with me. And, I'm glad it did. Interesting comparing this work with Tom Waits, similarities jump out at you but Randy is really a different guy and he's even simpler and wickeder at some points...

I love the arrangements/orchestration on some of these, the heart attack riffs in the opening track, the Kurt Weill slam in Piece of the Pie.

Ok so lots of lyrics are not politically correct but you have to give Randy the slack because, well, he's going to take it anyway...

Those of us who grew up with phenomenon of The Monkees can smile with recognition at the Tiger Beat-fueled frenzy surrounding today tween sensations. Not long ago it was Lizzie McGuire. Now a young girl barely knows who that is. Most recently it's been the powerhouse that is Hannah Montana, a franchise very much like The Monkees in that the records and the TV series nurture each other.

Miley Cyrus is remarkably talented and self-assured in her performances. Despite some bumps in the road in the last year, we can only hope she can weather the challenges ahead. She's maturing as a "product" and is approaching a crossroads. Sugarland keeps getting better and better. Jennifer is now my favorite country singer and writer too. I never knew just how talented she is until NOW. This is a MUST buy for all country fans and others too. She has the voice of an angel that I can listen to over and over. I missed their last tour, BUT will NOT miss the next one. Friends of mine say they were GREAT in person. I can't wait for the next CD or tour.
