I LOVED this CD! I'm a long time Kid Rock fan and while I do enjoy most of his music, this CD is a great demonstration of his bluesie side with a lotta rock mixed in. I'm still not tired of listening to it. If you like Kid Rock, you HAVE to own this CD.

Probably the only rap-metal album that honestly qualifies as any good, and definitely the most violently liberal album I've ever heard in my life. Not like I mind, of course. But if you don't agree with the politics, it'll probably hurt your enjoyment of the album. Enough of that, though. The point is that this band is awesome. Especially guitarist Tom Mollero, who comes up with brilliant riffs throughout and throws in all kinds of innovative, crazy solos that don't sound like they're coming from a guitar. The solo on "Killing in the Name" sounds like it could've came from a synthesizer, for instance. The stuff he pulls on "Take the Power Back" sounds like turntable work or something, his solo on "Bullet in the Head" seems a lot like a clavinet, ... Read More:

This CD is really awesome and I like it every song on this CD is a really good song and it's Just an awesome CD I really like this album and there not a bad group at all I mean there other albums are probably really good but this one is one of the best CD's that they've ever come out with and I don't even think they are making music anymore but I could be wrong about that seriously I could be wrong about them not doing anymore albums but overall I would Reccomend this CD to anybody who's a fan of incubus and you could even send the group a friendrequest on www.Myspace.com I'm not going to add them as a friend because I've got enough bands on my friend space as it is and I may be adding more bands but as of right now I'm not sure if I'll be adding ... Musically, "SWAN SONGS" is like someone took a blender and threw in sounds from Linkin Park, Beastie Boys, Eminem, Blink 182, and a few others, and out poured this graphic cocktail. I say graphic, because the lyrics are very explicit (I like that), not for the weak. But more importantly, they are a blueprint for Hollywood Undead's panorama of life in the forbidden yet alluring night world of L.A. It's full of alcohol and drugs, sex and violence, anger and numbness, agony and ecstasy. Sounds like fun, no? So, what's the connection to the REAL undead? Well, listen and you will hear the following references:

Out of all of the Linkin Park CD's, I have to say that this one is my favorite. The majority of the songs on the CD are my top Linkin Park picks, with Papercut being my number 1 favorite! If you're a Linkin Park fan, this CD is a must buy!

Love, War and the Ghost of Whitey Ford

I've had an ear out for Everlast ever since his House of Pain days. The Whitey Ford album was a good look for him. This record goes in another direction but works none the less. He starts off with a compelling first track "Kill the Emperor", "lets stop the War and feed the poor kill the emperor". The 2nd cut "Folson Prison Blues", is reminiscent of the House of pain days.

My favorite songs are (6) "Friend" which is the most introspective song and strikes the chord of emphatic truth, "Lovers come and go but right now I need a friend". The (13) track "Weakness" is vintage country blues and another favorite of mine. The beat and rythm of (14) "Dirty" makes it hot, track (4) "Anyone" is solid also. A pretty good sophomore album i would say. I wouldn't call reanimation a second album because it has the songs from the first album, but this is a good listen.
