I had always been a fan of David Foster's music, and it was a fantastic surprise to see many of his most wonderful songs in one DVD, performed by several of today's top artists. You will not be using the "FF" button on your remote control with this DVD. However talented Charice is (and she is indeed very talented), the highlight of this DVD are Andrea Bocelli's performances. The Italian tenor is in a league of his own, his voice and emotion second to none, and in this set, he sings three songs that highlight his immense qualities: "Amapola", "Because we believe", and an incredible version (maybe the best) of "The Prayer". They're from Brevi, Clique Girlz, Jon McLaughlin, Tyrone Wells and The White Tie Affair. There are many familiar names on this collection but there are a few new ones here as well. This is all the definition of "real music"! Real music is the stuff they air on MTV, which is why this CD rules so much. Not one bad song on it! One of the best CDs I've ever heard.

As a long-time now fan, I was confused by reading the tracklisting for a CD called "The Best of Now" that featured 12 songs that never appeared on a "Now" album before (or never appeared in this version). I was equally surprised to see two of the artists' names: "Maroon 5" and "Amy Winehouse," who never even appeared with any song on a Now album before.

That being said, I enjoyed the collection. Three of the first four tracks--"I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry, "Umbrella" by Rihanna, and "Stronger" by Kanye West--are probably my favorites by their respective artists, even though they were all missed by the Now series originally. Great sounds from the '50's and '60's! CD arrived in good condition in a timely manner. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the oldies.

...when you think of all the great songs and bands heard on Season 1.I'm totally hooked on the show and have it on DVD,so I had to buy the CD just for the sake of having it.But it feels like someting's missing.12 Tracks isn't enough at all when you think that the OMFGG version sold on Itunes contains 15 (what happened?!...).And most of the tracks aren't the key ones of the season to.Not a single song from the pilot is on the CD as there should have been one,aside from "hard to live in the city","the gift" or "bounce with me" for example.Maybe number 2 will be as good as the one from the O.C,but don't let us wait too long please...

Let me preface this with my bias -- I absolutely adore Judy Collins and think that her original songs rank among the greatest material ever produced by a singer/songwriter. I was very excited to hear about this project and greatly looked forward to hearing these wonderful songs interpreted by such a wide array of artists.

The reality is, however, that this is a tribute album. Like all tribute albums, it is uneven. Some performances are better than others, and some artists appeal to me while others don't. Unlike most tribute albums, this one is pretty good overall -- chalk that up to the quality of the songs.

Particularly good, in my opinion, are the performances by Shawn Colvin, Dar Williams, Rufus Wainwright and Bernadette Peters. ... Read More:

I used to fall asleep to this album throughout my middle-school years of heartache and pop-worship. This is my favorite compilation CD. It has the 4 songs that, to me, sport a tattoo of the 80s on their foreheads: "Video Killed the Radio Star", "Everybody (Wang Chung) Tonight", "Centerfold" and the epic "Jessie's Girl".
