I have to say that in the many years that I have been a record buying fan, I have never had such a strong reason to purchase a CD as this one. Not only are the songs great, but the passion behind the project is what really drove me to not only buy the CD but to make sure that all of my friends knew about it.

Studs Terkel is one of the great historians, letting the stories be told by those who actually witnessed the event. Terkel is one of the foremost oral historians, and these interviews are only a mere insight into the amount of work he has done and recorded.

This item is very difficult to rate, as some will love it and most will not care for it. Do not buy this item unless you are a serious Gonzophile who is interested in Hunter's actual process in creating stories, as well as getting some insight into the realities of his life.

Do not buy it if you expect lots of gonzo bad craziness on the tapes: The Vegas portions are pretty pedestrian. Even when he is stoned, you are not experiencing the powerful internal experience; you are listening to it from the outside, and it can sound somewhat tired. You do get a couple interesting hints about how much was real and what really happened, but you have to listen carefully. This is Hunter Thompson the person, not Raoul Duke the personna.

These vocal exercises are very inexpensive to download and have made an improvement in my voice in a very short time. I've tried many of the programs on the market and this little CD has actually been more helpful than many of the bigger programs I've invested in. As a guy who tends get his voice caught up in his throat...these exercises have a tendency to bring the sound into the mask of the face while relieving the tension in the muscles surrounding the throat. This CD really helps ease my voice while, at the same time, gives it a pleasant resonance and/or ring.

The only downfall to these CD's are that the instructions are very short and I think it would be nice to be able to spend more uninterrupted time working on the examples. There ... Read More:

I bought this four years ago when it was first released and didn't like it. I only listened to it once back then - I think I was expecting another Eden or La Luna. I put this cd in my player last month and fell in love with it. This is my favorite Sarah Brightman cd. I actually love it more than Eden and La Luna (both were extremely good). I own all of her cds, but this one is her best. My favorite tracks are 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 13 and 14. Sarah's voice is so beautiful - she's extremely talented. I'm going to add the DVD to my wish list.

This was my 1st time using another seller for a used item (CD box set) and even if one of the cd is showing finger prints they are playing ok. Shipping was not as fast as an Amazon purchase.

I bought this CD especially for the David Sedaris segment!! I love it, and the rest of the CD was a plesant surprise!! I am thrilled with this purchase!
