"Day After Tomorrow" is an excellent Baez disc IMHO! Her song selections continue to be powerful. Her voice, while weathered, remains expressive and powerful. Patty Griffin's "Mary" has a lovely melody that Baez embodies completely as she finds inspiration from the example of the mother of Jesus, "Every time the snow drifts, every time the sand shifts, even when the night lifts, she's always there." Eliza Gilkyson wrote two tracks that Baez recorded. "Rose of Sharon" was originally on Eliza's CD Redemption Road. Steve Earle's acoustic guitar compliments Baez's voice that brims with emotion, "Rise up my love & come away, the rain is over & gone, you are the fruit of my darkest day." With the exception of the last song on the disc (Oh, Had I a Golden Thread), these songs were recorded live as Eva Cassidy performed and sang them -- no overdubs or substitutions -- and they sound great. Her voice is wonderful, bright, crisp and clear, and she has a way of making each song her own. The recording also includes her introductions to the songs. If you have her other CDs then you owe it to yourself to get this live set.

I really enjoy listening to this CD. The radio doesn't play nearly enough Tracy Chapmans songs. I have only ever heard 2 played on the radio and I listen to a wide variety of music. I'd say that I definitely got my moneys worth. And as always the delivery time was excellent.

It was with "Freewheelin'", his second album, that Bob Dylan established himself as a great songwriter. Featured are all-time classics like "Blowin' In The Wind", "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". But some lesser known gems, such as "Bob Dylan's Dream", are also included. "Masters Of War" is at an anti-war song with Dylan at his most venomous and "Girl From The North Country" is one of his most beautiful romantic ballads.

This is a young, idealistic Dylan playing raw, stripped down folk music. But with witty, perceptive and extremely sardonic lyrics that take it to a whole new level. To see the glorious roots of the best songwriter of the last 50 years there is no better place to start than here.

I will always remember and thank my beloved brother, Thomas John Greene, who introduced me to Eva Cassidy some years ago. This is a beautiful album of her music (they all are).
