In the 80's, Dance music was at an all time high...hard Full Force induced beats, a sweet voice and some sexy laced up outfits made Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam one of the favorite 80's Dance music groups...In today's less than stellar dance music world, the Old School/Freestyle gets a lot of play from me still...I'm an old school DJ and Lisa Lisa still gets the ladies to sing along to her with hits like " Head to Toe"...all the ladies at once ("Today started with a crazy kiss, on our way home"), Can you feel the beat, Lost in Emotion and of course her signature song " I wonder if I take you home"...this was a great time for music in general. What is up with Stevie B.? You would think people would want the actual tracks released at that time when it was on 12" vinyl. I did not bother with all this re-recorded greatest hits CD's and bought the actual albums ('Party Your Body', 'In My Eyes') he released on CD. Also, the 12" version of Party Your Body is still unavailable on CD.

FOR THE PRICE AND BEATS IT IS A VERY GOOD CD TO BUY.I LIKE THE MUSIC AND IT SOUND ALL ORINGINAL. FREESTYLE IS THE WAY MUSIC SHOULD BEEEEEEEE.

With all the reviews I was surprised to find no track listing with song time lengths. The original of these songs appear on their Scars of Love and Louder than Love albums.
I would think think that the originals would be longer except for Maria which is the extended version.

Great CD with lots of favorites. These songs take me back to my high school days. I have some of these songs in extended form on old tapes and their getting worn out. I do agree with one recent review that the song "Wishing On A Star" should have been the original. They could have added that remix as a bonus track.
My favorite tracks are: "Show Me", "Because Of You", "Promise Me", "We Can't Go Wrong", "Inside Outside", & "My Heart Skips A Beat".
If your into 80's/dance music, you can't beat this collection.
I also suggest getting Expose Greatest Hits.

Billboard take note!

Every single song on this CD were not only songs that I knew and loved in the late-80s and early-90s, but they were all hits.

"Spring Love" and "Diamond Girl" had alternate mixes that had heavy radio airplay, and the mixes featured here I was pleased to remember (as opposed to being disappointed with a lesser-known mix).

There is one disappointment with this CD and it is that it comes to an end. By the time it has finished playing, though, you'll be in a much better mood. - Donna Di Giacomo
