This CD is excellent if you want to be led into the zone and left there like a pet rock in a state of deep relaxation and meditation. It is one of the few guided meditations that doesn't irk by somehow giving verbal directions constantly even as you are trying to tune out everything.

This CD for me didn't quite make the cut for chakra healing in comparison to other sound therapy and chakra balancing CDs that I own.

Halpern is a well-respected artist in the field with many years of experience and I don't discredit that he has a feel for what he is doing, however, I am disappointed with the musical composition of Chakra Suite.

The music on this CD is similar to beginner and intermediate finger warm-up exercises for keyboarding, basically consisting of climbing up the musical scale and back down again.

The music is relaxing to a degree for me, but also becomes annoying with the climbing up and down on the keyboard. As many times as I have tried to get through a meditation with this CD, I have ... Read More:

This is a very good CD. I often listen to it at night when my mind is going too fast and can't seem to quiet down. This does the trick. It would also be great for massage.

So if your spouse doesn't want to hear it...I have to sit in another room to listen-then go to bed-love to be able to put it on my mp3.plus my first one wore out fast- in only a few playings- love the effect it has!! Whatz up with inability to download it?

Warning: I do not fit in with the "new age" hippie folk who bought and reviewed this album.

I got this album because I wanted something soothing to fall asleep to - this mission was accomplished, as the music is quite soothing. But, I have listened to several Halpern records and I must say, for how many albums this guy puts out, a lot of them sound the same. Yes, the genre lends itself to repetition, which is part of the soothing aspect he is going for, but cmon. I also don't subscribe to the "energy" bs that a lot of the reviewers claim to feel when listening to it. Feeling "energy" from the music is just a snobby way of saying they liked it. This Theta Meditation CD is so good- I use it with my patients daily. If they are anxious, didn't sleep good, feel out of sorts or in physical pain- it is such a centering tool. Patients say it is "better than an ativan", "where did I go?" ...just amazed at their results. I am no longer surprised. It consistently works and people feel better. (Marianne Z.)

While this cd is obviously tailored towards a stress filled society and is to be recommended for that I personally enjoy the relaxing music of [...] The two cds I possess have a variety of stunning sounds tailored towards the relaxation market which I can recommend anyone looking into this particular genre. These cds are highly recommended
