Double Trouble is an outstanding collection of Stevie Ray's songs. I am a relative newcomer (5 years) to his music and I love it more and more with time. This isn't necessarily his best, but there are some real tasty ones on this album.

After listening to the first song, old memories return. You'll be impressed with all the Jerry Reed songs you actually know and love, but forgot about. Jerry Read's lyrics are funny and entertaining, almost like listening to an old radio show. The range is wide; from comedy to love.

There is a huge amount of Muddy Waters-compilations out there, and while MCA/Chess's two-disc, 50-track "Anthology 1947-1972" is certainly more definitive than this Geffen compilation, it does offer a very good overview of Muddy Waters' career.
Opening with the classic 1948 single "I Can't Be Satisfied", this CD takes you through (most of) the highlights from the 1950s and 60s. "Hoochie Coochie Man", "I'm Ready", "I Just Wanna Make Love To You", "Mannish Boy", and "Got My Mojo Working" are here, of course, and in the original versions, too, but it's a shame that some slightly lesser known (but equally fine) singles like "I Love The Life I Live, I Live The Life I Love", "She's Nineteen Years Old" and "I Want To Be Loved" are missing.

Grayson Capps has quickly become a staple in my cd player. This album has a few songs(my favorites are tracks 5 & 7)which I really love.Grayson is a masterful storytelling-type songwriter and a phenominal vocalist. Some of the songs on this cd I skip right over though, a little to silly, a little to country for me.I dig his more bluesy, classic rock sounding guitar work and rhythm.

What can I say that hasn't already been said?....OK..I'll try...Walter plays the guitar like an Olympic sprinter runs a race....He plays every song like it might be his last...All out...and heartfelt...Some say he plays too fast, too loud, too much emphasis on lead guitar...It's a matter of opinion....in my opinion..I happen to like it..
In this album Walter starts it off with "Welcome To The Human Race" which is classic..."Walter"..Great tune...
This album also shows a little of a softer and deeper "Walter"...This record is a must have for any die hard fans of Walter but also would be a great listen for those new to his music...
All around a very good album that I am happy to have in my collection and I am always very proud to serve up some "Fresh ... Read More:

This woman once again proves to the younger musicians and everyone else willing to listen: Age is just a number and experience counts for everything.
She pulls lyrics form some of the great including Annie Lennox! And holy mother og pete's christ can this woman sing! I saw her live and this album does a pretty nice job of pulling off her live sound. It is so raw and gritty like best Stax records were. Don't hesitate appreciate and buy this album.

Almost exactly seventy years ago, a man who was then known as Robert Johnson passed away. He was poisoned, presumably by a houseman/barkeep whose wife had been flirting with him on an August Evening. Around the same time, a king pin of the then small, homely music industry sent out a middle man to find Johnson, in hopes of striking a record deal. It took until almost a year after Johnson's death for word to get back to the industry that Johnson was, in fact, deceased. This is not a surprise, considering that the spread of news at the time, let alone in poor black Mississippi (or really, where ever he may have taken up residence at the time), was reserved to word of mouth.
Why then, does this fact interest me so much? I don't know. I almost find it a little ... Read More:

I like "Damn Right, I've Got the Blues" better, but this is still great. I loved Stevie Ray Vaughn, and since Buddy played at the last concert Stevie ever gave, I looked forward to hearing the instrumental tribute to him. I wasn't disappointed. Anybody who thinks Chicago blues is always loud and driving should listen hard to that one. Like any great music, there's more than one way to be blue. Yeah, Buddy.

OMFG do I love this album.
It is one of the best escapes from this nasty world of Sarah Palins and mean people (lol).
I put this on, lean back, and the world is good and I am a happy boy!
This is music for people that know how to zone out.
Yeah that's it: This is space age zone out music for moderns with a nostalgic side.
