As a Ed Head of over 20 years and having seen these guys over 100 times I can honestly say this is the greatest release ever from a band whose previous work has already garnered numerous awards. The best thing about these guys is the energy and pacing of their live shows, it is captured in this release.
It kicks off with "Hold That Train" loaded with Ed's signature greasy Chicago slide and impassioned vocals. The Blues Imperials are as usual tight and crisp. This is just sheer joy, real deal Chicago Blues. No one plays this type of passionate Chicago Slide anymore,I will guarantee this will be nominated for a BMA for best album. Other great tracks include "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" with some piano mixed in for good measure ... Read More:

This record is so funny that you should make sure that you have an empty bladder before listening. Rudy is very clever and I can't understand why he has not gotten the same respect as the late great Redd Foxx or Richard Pryor.

This was my second purchase from you people and it arrived promptly and in excellent NEW condition !!! Thankyou.
Now, my first purchase was another story.....................(You asked)
First of all it took triple the expected time,
Secondly, when I called your number to find out about it, I ended up in the Phillippines (?), and the lady told me specifically, you don't deliver to Canada anymore, because we've changed our international mailing/delivery laws, so I should request a cancellation & refund (?).
Weird hey..........anyways, it did arrive, obviously whoever had it before me let their children use it as a colouring board too.
But the book/writing itself inside, was still in tact.
However, by the time I'd paid ... Read More:

As with any Luther VanDross Cd, this one was fabulous. Most of his greatest hits were on it, with the exeption of just a couple. All in all,
I would recommend this CD to all Luther fans.

I bought this CD for the Tracy Chapman/Eric Clapton "Give Me One Reason" rendition. This is a great CD!
Tracy Chapman's "O Holy Night" is beautiful, non traditional but sung like a loving lullaby, just lovely, one of the nicest renditions I've ever heard, and I really like this song. Jon Bon Jovi plays both "Please come home for Christmas" and "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" really nicely, like he was made to play these songs. Everything Clapton and Tracy Chapman offer is wonderful and John Popper, well of course.
I don't have a lot of exposure to some of these musicians because I don't listen to a lot of radio or to the genres they usually represent. I personally don't like a couple of songs, I've never liked "Rockin' Around the Christmas ... Read More:

Ms. Tedeschi has a sweet soulful sound with an undertow, so watch out. It will suck you in and take you down. The kind of gospel that will make you say "Sweet Jesus, I didn't know it could be like this". As a matter of fact, I'll be singing Protect My Child on Sunday in the Sanctuary. JK! There is enough here to satisfy boys and girls and help them satisfy each other.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble's In Step (1989) finds SRV clean and sober, yet still as intense and powerful as ever. Sadly, this would be their last album as Stevie was tragically killed in a helicopter crash one year after In Step was released. On October 3, 2008, Stevie Ray Vaughan would have been fifty four years old.
In Step is a very good album with several great songs on it. It features more rock and funky soul music than straight up blues, and that's OK with me even though I love the blues. Stevie's singing is as impassioned here as it ever has been, and his guitar work on this album is spectacular as ever. He does include some traditional blues, most notably the SRV slow blues treatment of Buddy Guy's Leave My Girl Alone. It's no Texas Flood, ... Read More:

On the very best list of 1962 and 1960's albums, Ray Charles'"Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music" has to be on a top and prominent place on that distinguished list. The main jewels of that royal crown are "I Can't Stop Loving You" definitely the top hit song of 1962, played and played not only for that entire year but subsequently. The others top hits in that album were "Born to Lose" originally the flip side on the former 45 rpm single version and "You Don't Know Me". Bonus tracks were added on this great compilation. Perhaps the only missing Ray Charles musical jewel in this great musical compilation is "Georgia On My Mind". If they would've added that song to this fabulous album, it would've been an unprecedented collector's item and best seller.

There are only about 3 or 4 songs in this whole collection that I really like. I think the title of this cd is misleading. I would of liked to have been able to listen to each song before I bought this particular cd. It was a waste of money for me. Ray Charles has so many other great hits that should be on this cd collection, considering the name of it.
