Addison Road first got my attention with the excellent first single All That Matters and for several months, that was the only song I heard by this former indie band from Texas, led by lead singer Jenny Simmons. If you like Superchick, Fireflight, or Cadia, you should enjoy this album.
Addison Road, the nice major label debut on INO Records, is more than just the great first single All That Matters, but not what I expected. Overall, it's a more mellow album with some nice messages including Hope Now, Start Over Again, Run and my other favorite stand-out song What Do I Know Of Holy. It is one of the most personal songs on the album with the challenging lyrics: "What do I know of Holy? What do I know of wounds that will heal my shame? ... Read More:

Probably the most relevant question that a prospective buyer of this album might ask is, "Do I really want to re-purchase songs that I already have, just to get a couple of new songs?" It's what's been debated on the Newsboys website forum. Three songs on this disc represent its marketability:
"I Fought the La..." is a humorous play on the song, "I Fought The Law" (and the law won). It's a song about writer's block, and substituting, "la la la," in place of meaningful lyrics.
"In The Belly Of The Whale" is a song from the Veggie Tales movie. It was played during the credits at the end. It's about Jonah, as one might guess.
"Stay Strong" was the song I bought it for. It's probably one of the most inspired ... Read More:

I never EVER listen to a whole album, much less all the way through in succession but this album is the exception to that rule in my life. Every single song on this album is beautiful, honest, uplifting, praising and singable. It's solid, personal, GORGEOUS worship.

This is the second time I have owned this album. I had bought their other cd, Comatose, and after spending some overseas, (military) I decided I really needed this album again. This band has a positive message, rolled into hard rock that will impact your life. When I first owned this album, I was struggling with a lot of personal inner demons. This cd helped me through those times. That is why I felt the need to have it again. I came on hard times, once again, and it has done the same again. I don't want to tell my whole life story, but as for the music, this cd rocks. Any parents having questions about wether you should worry if you find this cd in your kids rooms, don't. The music is hard rock, and kind of heavy at times, but that all helps with ... Read More:

Let me begin by placing a few statements on the table. To begin, I like David Phelps - he has an incredible voice and a strong musical talent along with a very likable personality. Second, I am not accustomed to reviewing musical albums, so I probably won't have the necessary insight which better qualifies others for this job.
Having said that, ever since I received the much-anticipated new release from David Phelps I knew that something had to be said. David is probably the best musician who's never found a great album. Aside from projects with the Gaither Vocal Band, he has struggled along trying to find some musical focus to what he's released. And The Voice is a monumental step backwards on his journey. I am really struggling to ... Read More:

Francesca Battistelli had aspirations of being a Broadway singer and has parents in the music business. That music background and aspiration is apparent in this solid debut for singer-songwriter Francesca Battistelli. The debut single I'm Letting Go is so catchy you can't help but sing along and admire the great melody and music. The best comparison I can think of is Love Song by pop singer Sara Bareilles and her musical and singing style also reminds me of Natasha Bedingfield and Leona Lewis.
My Paper Heart is more than just the great song I'm Letting Go. In particular I really enjoy the opening track Free To Be Me a nice upbeat anthem that girls can relate to and find motivating. Another anthem is the Revolve Tour song It's Your Life which is another ... Read More:

I love Selah and their voices. I was disappointed in some of the arrangements of these hymms. They are wonderful hymms but for my tastes some of them were too jazzed up. I would have liked better to hear the beautiful voices of Salah singing the hymms in a more traditional way!!
thank you

Christmas Peace is an excellent album that everyone who likes Elvis Presley should own. It combines one CD of Christmas songs with one CD of the Gospel songs that were so close to his heart. They are not only inspirational to listen to, they also show that Elvis was a deeply Christian man who was overwhelmed by his life circumstances. Would any of us do better? You cannot sing with the conviction he does on his Gospel selections and not believe it. The songs on this album capture both the sacred season of Christmas and the sacred theme of Gospel music.
