Well, this is an interesting compilation... make no mistake this CD was NOT a project. This is strictly a Sony compilation from Sony's vault... Actually the Christmas songs on this CD can be had on many other CD's that are currently out there. However, Aretha & Mavis Staple singing "Oh Happy Day" together is worth the price of admission!!! That's the gem on this compilation. AFter listening to that, I mailed my church my tithes!!!Also, "Over the Rainbow" sounds like a young Patti Labelle singing instead of Aretha. Aretha may be playing the piano, but it's DEFINITELY Patti vocals... Why Patti wasn't credit in the insert is befuddling... Patti, Sony just may owe you a check!!

From the first track I was drawn in...just from Israel's declarations...all it took was one mention of scripture "the plow man will overtake the reaper" ...and it hit a spot that I didn't know was in need of watering. This cd has literally changed my life. It speaks to the broken places...even the ones you didn't know were broken until you listened to the songs. My absolute favorite is "Prayers of the Righteous"...particularly the end of the song that declares that God is miraculous...when I'm driving I literally look up into the sky and declare this to the Lord!!! And I absolutely adore "I Know Who I Am"!!! I love Chris Tomlin. And I cannot forget "I Will Search"...this was the first song on the cd that drew me in! "With Long Life" reminds ... Read More:

This is awesome. I recommend this product. My step-father is 75 years old and he loves Johnny Cash. He nearly cried when I gave it to him; he was so grateful. He played the music and it captured Johnny Cash's earlier days and also later. I enjoyed it also.

These CD's are a great bargain! Children are singing so your child can sing along and learn the wonderful hymns that we all learned in church before the more contemporary music came along. Any of the Cedarmont CD's is wonderful and teaches children traditional as well as spiritual songs.

Johnny Cash is undoubtedly as essential to American music as Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, and Hank Williams. His contributions are admired by both country aficionados and rockers alike. On none of his releases is the reason why as apparent as with his "Live At San Quentin" release.
Here, we're treated to rousing renditions of early Cash classics "Big River," "I Still Miss Somone," and "I Walk The Line" alongside revamped versions of "Folsom Prison Blues," "Ring Of Fire," and "Wreck Of The Old 97." Needless to say, the addition of Carl Perkins to the list of backing musicians has a great deal to do with the musical quality of this show! However, the musical highlights don't stop there:

What can I say? This album is great. I honestly didn't think they can make a great, more-less good, album after Jimmy left. I remember seeing them live with the new vocalist, and I can't say I dislike it, but it wasn't near anywhere as good as Jimmy was. I love the previous albums Burning Bridges and When Everything Falls. Those were awesome albums. But since the release of Dreamer, I've fallen in love with them again. Haste the Day, nonetheless, has always been great musically, but Jimmy was a huge part of why Haste the Day has been so successful and unique. All things aside, Stephen proved me wrong. Good Job. This album is a must buy if you dislike all the generic deathcore/death metal bands out there.

More Than 50 Most Loved Hymns is a fantastic collection of great hymns. My wife and I have given it as gifts to several family members & friends. Highly recommended.

Each album by DCB is just a little different. This one really mixed it up from what I was expecting. It to me not as user friendly as their earlier stuff, but we all grow in different directions.
