I normaly buy 1 CD of CHRISTmas music each year. This one is tied for #1 for my all time favorite CHRISTmas CD's, which is saying allot since I have about 25 other CHRISTmas cd's. Well worth the price...

I listen to this CD all the time. The beautiful spiritual songs are heart touching. I do not get tired of hearing them. The words are so beautiful; especially Praise You in This Storm. It was the perfect CD for what I am going through. I would not only reccomend this CD to those who are having troubles and need comfort but to anyone who wishes too get closer to the Lord.

Leigh Nash's solo album was a beautiful piece of work and it was good to see her involved in different projects. Nevertheless it was a joy to hear that SNTR were making a comeback. This album of Christmas themed songs is a well produced piece of work that oozes quality. There's a mixture of traditional songs with great arrangements, newer songs that have charm and warmth and covers like Joni Mitchell's 'River'. Leigh Nash's lilting bell like voice is as good as ever and Matt Slocum's playing and arrangments are sheer class. After what seems considerable praise you may wonder why only 3-stars? I love track 3!!!!!!!!!!

It's a great remix of traditional songs that is very upbeat and you just want to sing to it.

Difficult to beat Chris Tomlin. Great songwriter, great singer. This CD has a lot of hits, if that's what you like. I recommend it to anyone that likes CCM.

If you could combine indie, jazz, blues with a hint of bluegrass you would have needtobreathe. This was the first album that I have bought of theirs and overall I am very impressed with the product. For originality I would would give them an A+. Their music is not recycled or generic in any way. They have some fresh ideas and find clever musical rifts as well as lyrics. The back stretch of the album had some of the best musical structures on the album. "Looks like love" has a very unique guitar rift that sets it apart. Also "Nothing left to lose" has a pounding message and is accented by it's strong musical component.

This DVD and CD was very moving as the music and words are fantastic. We are David Phelps fans from way back when he sung in Gaither Vocal Band and think his voice continues to amaze. If you want something special for your family Xmas then this is a wonderful beginning. Something old and something new. Go for it!

I have to admit first that I became a much bigger Cash fan after seeing Walk the Line. Guess I was too busy with rock when I was growing up. So... if you are new to Cash, you lack any Cash cds, and especially if you liked Walk the Line - I think you will really like this cd. Long time fans are probably likely to be disappointed because there have been other compilations over the years that they may own - but I think this has to be one of the best.

I've waited years for this amazing a cappella gospel group to make a recording of jazz standards, and the results were worth the wait. Their incredibly tight harmonies, ambitious arrangements (kudos to Mark Kibble), and glorious ensemble sound bring a cappella singing to another level entirely. Sweet Georgia Brown is pure joy, Straighten Up And Fly Right is pure swing, and A Tisket A Tasket is pure fun. There's also a lushly beautiful Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans, with Aaron Neville's honeyed voice and a delightful brass band imitation. Their greatest achievement here, though, is the R&B classic What's Going On, which their unaccompanied voices soulfully blend into a soaring, powerful groove that demands repeated listening. Enjoy.
