Wow...how does one go from the heights of lyrical magic (as heard on "Tiger") tearing your heart out over bad drugs, wounded lovers, and fragile recovery, and go to...this? "Cardinology" has every flaw seen in a scared, lazy, shallow album--songs that are familiar (but in a bad way--sooo predictable), crappy guitar-work with Godawful mixes, minimal tension and atmosphere....it's as if Senor R. crapped in his widdle pants and decided to frame it for the world to see. The steel guitar may actually be good, who would know, since it's buried in mud. Here's a laugh, I was actually thankful for the low song output on this effort, since it ended my pain. It's worse than bad...it's half-good. Ryan, wake up!

This CD set is of great value to any Hank Williams fan. There are many songs that I have never heard before. The sound quality of all of the recordings is outstanding, no backround noise or clicks anywhere. It is well worth the price.

I Think That This Was One "GREAT" CD Put Out By Kenny Chesney. In Fact, Today While I Was Out, I Took Along His CD And Kept Playing It Over And Over Again. Kenny Has One "GREAT" CD That I Am So Glad That I Brought Through You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Cd this great only comes around a few times a year, and Darius Ruckers CD would rank number one against most of them. This is one of those CD's you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track. With his smooth vocals and great storytelling, any country fan who wouldn't pick this up would be out of their mind. Take my advice and pick up this GREAT country CD, you will not be disappionted.

For most artists, putting out their sophomore album is one of the most trying times in their career. Many artists second albums pale in comparison to their first, both artistically and in sales figures. Carrie Underwood's second project, Carnival Ride, breaks through the stereotypes and is poised to eventually sell more and become more respected than the previous album, Some Hearts. Vocally, Carrie has become more talented on this record, if that is even possible. All of the songs on the album were hand selected, with Carrie even co-writing a few, and it is obvious that much thought was given to the tracks on the album. This is a stand out and one of my favorites in mainstream country music today!

If you don't know Emmylou Harris at all, buy anything she's ever done. The worst that you'll get is really good. This album is lovely, if low-key and sad. There is a strain of American music - the only authentic strain aside from Afro-American - embodied in country, folk and some rock based on the former two that is heart-piercing, but absolutely lovely. And Emmylou Harris - who defies labels - does it best of all (though her version of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" - elsewhere - rocks with a kind of tough cynicism that the Broadway showtune never had.) I've seen her up close in a small concert and she is the very epitome of grace, modesty and beauty.
