Bringing It All Back Home being Dylan's 1965 release and his 5th studio album is without a doubt a grand album. The album is divided into one accoustic and one electric side. Here we have classic tracks such as Mr. Tambourine Man, It's alright ma (I'm only bleeding). The book-let is very nice with a photograph on the cover of Dylan together with some woman. I do not know who it is to be honest. Inside we get poetry penned by Dylan that I find to be very interesting. We also get a plethora of pictures of Dylan recording the album. The back cover photo is a photo of Dylan playing guitar in the studio. 5/5.

This CD was everything I expected. If I like someone's radio hit, I usually like most of their CD, and sometimes, like some of the not played on radio songs even better. Jason's rich voice comes through on every song, from upbeat to slow romantic songs, and it his the spot every time.

I happened to see Billy Bob and the Boxmasters being interviewed on a morning San Antonio TV show. I am a big movie fan of his and the show was at a small venue, the Scout Bar, and somehow I managed to persuade my husband to go with me. We both loved it and I bought their CD during intermission between the 2 sets. You could tell that Billy Bob really loved what he was doing and every band member was awesome. Now my husband is a die-hard SRV fan, and we have been to a lot of concerts, but this one remains at the top for me. Sadly, the cd is not getting the play and coverage it deserves, and I still get the raised eyebrows and weird looks when I talk about the cd, but you have to hear them to believe it. Some of the covers they did in the second set are ... Read More:

My daughter spent some time working on a boat on the Yangzte River just before SARS broke out. She loved the people and the area and I thought this would be another way to relive the experience for her. She was very pleased with her totally unexpected birthday gift. I read a positive review of this new music in Newsweek which prompted me to listen to the songs on YouTube first.

Too Long in the Wasteland, indeed. James McMurtry's scathing collection of character sketches blisters as an indictment of the last eight years, commenting on greed ("God Bless America"), the downtrodden and left behind ("Fireline Road) and the chimp in chief himself ("Cheney's Toy'). It's likely the most political album you'll hear this year outside of punk rock (New Wave, The Bright Lights of America), and digs deeply into McMurtry's Lou Reed by way of Texas singing style.
As usually for McMurtry, the lyrics are hyper-literate. Take this example from the down-on-his-luck man waiting out the storm in "Hurricane Party":
Now there's water up past the wheel wells of my
Ford and I don't guess that it'll run.
But I left a pack ... Read More:

I love this CD and listen to it often. The arrangements are wonderful. The voice may be grating to some, so check out the CD before you buy it. If you can get past the voice, you may love it too. Beyond the Horizon is one of my favorites.

I love the duet concept records and I am a big k.d. Lang fan and when I heard this record was coming out I was very excited. A wonderful combination of voices singing classics, and the title track makes this record perfect. I was not a big Tony Bennett fan beforehand, but became one because of this.

This CD is the best. I had this on tape many many years ago and it brought back such great memories I just had to have a CD. Buy this and you won't regret it. It will take you back to another place in time.

I will always remember and thank my beloved brother, Thomas John Greene, who introduced me to Eva Cassidy some years ago. This is a beautiful album of her music (they all are). How can I not think of you, Tom, as I listen to Imagine... God bless your sweet soul (and Eva's too). Miss you. Love, Eileen

I stumbled onto Brooks & Dunn when their cover of "My Maria" blew me away, which is hard to do, since I'm usually a hardcore fan of original versions. These guys can REALLY SING! Don't miss this GH collection. "He's Got You" is a gem I keep listening to over and over. The whole thing is wonderful, even if you already know the songs. It's great to have such a talented entity in the business. Keep 'em coming, Brooks & Dunn!
