I've owned this 1990 CD release since 1993. It was the first CD I ever bought. This CD covers Madonna's best songs from her 1983-1989 albums. Everything from "Holiday" to "Vogue". All of these songs are rerecorded versions of the originals, so they sound a little different than the originals. Thankfully they didn't stray too far from the originals though. They are not crappy remixes or anything of that nature, just slightly updated for the time (1990). This is still one of my favorite CD's of my ever growing collection. I love about 15 of the 18 total songs, and that's unheard of!

This is one of my favorite albums of all time but I have to jump in on the remastering issues. I just bought this yesterday and I have the same flaw on the song Sunrise that the previous reviewer reported. I'll take his word for the exact time of the flaw but there is definitely a remarkable volume drop in the right channel in the middle of the song. The right channel corrects itself pretty quickly but when I heard it I thought something was wrong with my CD player. This is a very noticeable flaw. I even pulled out my Retro box set to listen to the song there to see if the flaw was part of the original master. The Retro version is fine as is my old copy of the CD. Is there anyone out there who bought a copy of this reissue that doesn't ... Read More:

This is unusual to some extent-but still great Sufi Music. If you do not know about this music-you need to know what it is. The music spread Islam relegion, even in India. before sword was used to force the relegion. Regardles of ones relegion-this music is loved by most of people in south asian region. The singer, from Iran which was the source of this music-like the poetry by Rumi etc. It is beutiful and one need to listen with real pleasure and you dont have to be of any relegion. even lot of Bollywood music is Sufy style!!!

The MUSIC on these New Order reissues get a 5/5, easily. However, there were far too many egregious mistakes made in the creation of the discs themselves to give them a pass. Only the first discs were re-mastered though they still have some problems, it is the bonus discs that are an absolute mess.
Warner Music/Rhino know about these problems, but there is yet no word on any forthcoming fixes. So I'd hold off until these issues are addressed.
Noted below are the specific problems with the Movement reissue:
1. Dreams Never End
2. Truth
3. Senses
4. Chosen Time
5. I.C.B
6. The Him - Glitch at 5:25-5:26
7. Doubts Even Here
8. Denial

Come on, ladies..... do you remember when Joe, Jon, Jordan, Donnie, and Danny were plastered all over your walls and you melted at the thought of seeing them in concert. This album is what started it all. So fab. So awesome.

"Missundaztood" is a good album by powerful singer Pink. Includes "Don't Let Me Get Me", "Respect" and "Eventually". Pink ("Stupid Girl") has become involved in the 2008 Presidential Race. Interestingly, in the 2008 Presidential Primary race, New York Senator Hillary Clinton earned more Votes than any other Presidential Primary candidate in American history (hillaryclintonforum, the denver group)

Oh I remember when this first came out.... I bought Step By Step as a cassette tape. Now I am updating it to CD and I can still remember all the words to every song. This CD shows serious talent from NKOTB. It is an essential piece of your collection if you are a fan!

"Trip-hop"? "Downtempo"? Although it is a dark record, between Beth Gibbons' tortured voice, Geoff Barrows' beats, scratches and samples, and Adrian Utleys' jazzy guitar: this album is pure sex.

Windham Hill's "Thanksgiving" is the perfect mood music to play while eating Thanksgiving dinner. It opens with "We Gather Together" and ends with the beautiful "Thanksgiving," which is the perfect theme song to this most pleasant holiday. My only objection is that it's not the full-length version, which is on the "December" CD. The only song I'm even remotely disappointed with is "Allelujah," which is a bit too uptempo for a hymn. Otherwise, there's not much to find fault with here. Dim the lights, put a couple logs on the fire, pass around the pumpkin pie, and enjoy.

I have been a Lalah Hathaway fan for years since her debut R&B album. During the years, the course of her career it steered more to Jazz. I do have an appreciation for jazz and her collaberation with Joe Sample was great. This CD revisits her beginning of R & B music without ignoring the jazz influences and her evolving as an artist. This album easily has more than 4 favorites and I am sure you will enjoy it too. Because this album is released on a more independent label, the marketing money is reserved and maybe not available. Definitely pick this up. You won't be disappointed. It's easy listening whether at a private moment or relaxing moment it's the perfect piece to add to the mood.
