THIS IS THE JULIO I LIKE, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A CD WITH HIS MOST UPBEAT MUSIC AND "JULIO - MI VIDA- GRANDES EXITOS" IS A GREAT RECOLLECTION OF HIS GREATEST HITS. IT IS A COLLECTION OF THE MORE UPBEAT SONGS THAT JULIO SINGS THAT I LIKE AND SOME OF HIS SLOOOOOW SONGS I DO NOT LIKE. Alejandro Fernandez is a very versatile singer who has a very good voice and performs very good aswell. He is a Grammy Award winner and has been singing for several years. He first started singing Rancheras as his father, the great Vincente Fernandez and sience 1997 he has been releasing some pop albums. Personally I just like his pop albums, because I don't like rancheras but I know that hi is very good in that field.
Anyway, that was just a little introduction that I wanted to make in case you didn't know much about him.

I recently had a wine party.This was perfect. I had friends of all ages, 23 to 53, and many asked about the music.I played it with The Putumayo collection of French Cafe Music. It was great!

This is my first album for Luciana Souza and I am well impressed. Smooth voice; Smooth re composition for each song, James Taylor nicely adding his lovely voice on "Never die Young"; This album is a bouquet of nice songs of Sting, James Taylor, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. Brazilian Bossa Nova? No.
Bossa Nova Luciana Souza's style? Absolutely.
Highly recommended for all the smooth Jazz, Smooth Rock and Bossa Nova lovers, who are into some great music, composed by all the artists I mentioned above, played, twisted and sang in an absolutely lovely and charming way.
4 stars or 5 are well deserved.
