I think that the album is lopsided at best... I love the art and the fact that Ross Bagdasarian Jr is back as Dave Saville but Dave comes across as a bit mean to the boys.. At one pont he blirts out "suck it up.." to the boys.. I really don't think Dave would have said anything to that in real life.. Dave was never that way in the cartoon..

Another problem I have is how Dee Town overextended the 1983 opening to the original show.. I thought it was a bit much as it was too long and the fact that Dee Town's backup was overpowering the boys at one point or another.

It would be a better CD if the Chipmunks didn't come across as Greedy in HO HO HO either.. I pods, cash.. I feel mortified at the notion that is all kids really ... Read More:

This DVD is fantastic! It's worth the price just for the looped backing tracks for practice. I like how I can practice major, minor, power or seventh chords over the backing tracks. It makes practicing chord transitions fun---like actually playing something---instead of a grind.

The teacher is first-rate. Yes, as previously noted, he's playing an electric guitar. IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO THE LESSON. He injects just enough music theory quickly and concisely while showing the viewer where to put his/her fingers. Though I already knew most of the chords, I learned some preferable finger positioning for faster transitions. I've only done half of the lessons so far, but it has already been worth my money.

I tried the books and I tried the YouTube instructional videoes, but I still couldn't knit. Four and a half minutes into this DVD and I can do the knit stitch and the purl stitch! The DVD is set up extremely well. It's very easy to repeat a step so you can see the demonstration again. Nici McNally is very easy to listen to and follow. If you want to learn to knit, you want this DVD!

I thought 2006's "Mythologies" was one of the most creative "jazz" recordings ever, and one of the best c.d.'s of that year. When I heard that Ms. Barber was going from that Guggenheim-funded project to a c.d. of Cole Porter covers, I thought, "Huh?"

But in a weird sort of way, it makes sense. Say what you will about Patricia Barber: this is an artist who pushes the envelope. And discovering how to make new and fresh an idea that has been done a thousand times before is, in its own way, a creative challenge.

My son at 5 declared that nobody sings Jingle Bells like Ella Fitzgerald. This cd was a must for us. Bing certainly popularized Christmas music and the crooners backed it up, but Ella gives Christmas style.

Wow! I was amazed when I tried this DVD, it's so in-depth, extremely well done, the explanation for the moves is detailed, and the choreography sets are very very sensual. Blanca is a fabulous instructor and dancer, this DVD will really make you feel like a sensual woman, no matter your size or age, you will feel like a Venus!!

Yes, this is computer animation, and proud of it. But the computer is just a production tool, like an artist's brush, and the final product is what counts. That product is gorgeous, and covers a wide range of sensibilities. 'Stick Figures' features likable robotic characters. Most of the other pieces, including 'Pipe Dream' and especially 'Drum Machine' have a more industrial feel, like the offspring of symphony orchestra and an automated assembly line. 'Harmonic Voltage' takes the science fiction look even farther.
