This cd is great for a toddler-my two year old daughter loves it! She loves to sing along and I actually don't mind when she wants to listen to her music! The singer on this cd isn't annoying too and that always helps when choosing the right kind of toddler music! For the price this can't be beat!

This collection is about McCoy Tyner playing with 5 very different fretted string players (4 guitars, 1 banjo). It's not so much about what the guitarist do, per se. All of the guest do what it is that they do. Bill Frisell plays with an economy of notes, tossing in county and blues chords and riffs and playing in a cool understated groove. Derek Trucks played like a real good blues player. etc... All the guest are great players and if you don't like any of them, chances are you won't like thier contribution on this collection either.

One thing is for sure; John Scofield and McCoy Tyner smoke. For the other players, you could feel McCoy adaping to the groove of the guitar/banjo player. With Scofield there was no adaptation nessesary. ... Read More:

THE CHRISTMAS ATTIC marked the second CD release by the Christmas rock-opera sensation, Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Most of the good stuff from the first album, CHRISTMAS EVE AND OTHER STORIES, but it seems to lack in substance. Very little of the music herein echoes the astounding quality of CHRISTMAS EVE AND OTHER STORIES. Certainly the exceptions would the very beautiful "Christmas Canon" (a children's chorus singing to the tune of Pachelbel's "Canon in D") and "Joy / Angels We Have Heard on High" (consisting in addition to the latter title, also an electric guitar solo of Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring").

Likewise, "Midnight Christmas Eve" and "Appalachian Snowfall" are enjoyable light rock instrumentals, but they have nothing to ... Read More:

I bought it from a Disney store. It cost me $13 plus taxes. None of the songs are good. After listening to 2 songs, I found out they all sound the same.

The only good thing about it is it has 2 version for each song. The first version is with vocal (singer singing). The second is karaoke which has only background music. So, if you don't know the song very well, you can sing along with vocal version first.

I gave the disc to my friend. It's a waste of money.

He obviously has a delightful voice, but he's also obviously an amateur. Even with orchestration so close to Il Divo's (and that was a cheap shortcut in my estimation) it wasn't enough to hide the fact he should spend a good solid year with a voice coach before he decides he's professional. It's an enjoyable CD but I wasn't impressed enough to play it very often.

amazon.com kept putting this band in my recommended section, so i bought it. then i wondered if i was going insane or whether the dude's english was just really bad. he was speaking icelandic! what the hell? i need to have an idea what the heck they are saying, without having to learn some obscure new language. it is also a little too soft for my taste. i mean, the band has some neat arrangements, obviously they have talent, but the foreign language and too soft tone makes it hard for me to say i really love it.

This is grown up Christmas music. I think it's okay. My husband thinks its great. I don't think I could listen to it over and over again in a day. But on occassion during the holidays it makes for nice romantic tree gazing music.

She has a nice sultry jazzy style.
